he did have buzz before notorious. buzz and break are two different things. he was underground with songs like name and number, she want a natty, run cow run pig, think of peace, on my way to zion.

@judahasante for the baldheads in the dancehall scene, notorious is his breakout song, before that he just had some buzz To us Rastafari youth in the reggae scene, he already broke out from his first album Rising. To us he was already a full blown artist for about 6 years before Notorious. For us, Notorious was just like, oh its cool he found a hit song so late in his career
