I let a bf beat me, strangle me, give me blsck eyes, kick me, cut me up; despite police; detectives; his old criminal record; i was soo abused I believed the cops were lying etc he had me so mentally brainwashed. Then one day I was home about to make cocopops when he freaked out (he had been taking cocaine under my nose).. he near best my cat to death. He had tried to kill me twice that week; i stayed; but after he hurt my cat I called cops; went to vet; left and never ever looked back felt ap guilty for ever putting my cat in that situation. Sammy is now alive and well; its taken years my next bf was a lot better but still broke my arm and fractured my leg; gave me a black eye drunk one night; punched me in the face while driving causing the car to crash. Im not finally single for 6 months; ive went on a few dates but feel like I can see the red flags a mile away. Before all those other incidents I also dated a man whp stole all my items took a knife out on me etc; and a bf before that used to make me get drunk so he could basically rape me. Now Im 23 and just wanna be single go back to school. I grew up in care; some of us really are fucked. Each of my boyfriends treated me amazing at the start, were lovely people who everyone thought was nice. It isnt always our fault. The men shouldnt abuse us even if we are easy to abuse. I made my last bf promise to end it anytime it got bad; thats how im singke now.

His family ganged up on her daughter, and Liz stepped in to protect her child, and Ed cancelled the wedding without telling her. They didn't break up over the pasta. They broke up because Ed realised that Liz would not choose him over her daughter, no matter what pressure he put on her. He thought having his whole family on his side would make her buckle to him, but she backed Riley when up against all that pressure (as she should). That is when he knew he couldn't fully control Liz, and that is why he dumped her. That is why he is looking for a tradwife right now, so he can maximise his chances of fully controlling his partner. Nothing else will do for Ed.

I love that she seems to be happy. With Ed she was always angry or depressed. When people attacked the relationship it's because we already knew who Ed. She put herself and her daughter through hell to basically prove us all right. Rose was into her faith and Rose proved that she will rebuke him in the name of Jesus quick and in a hurry.

I still can't believe Liz is younger then me. She's been married twice, had a child and dated Ed 🤢 I got into my first serious relationship at 30, still not married and I have no plans on having kids and I would NEVER date someone like Ed. It's crazy what low self esteem does to someone. I also grew up without a dad but i had a strong independent mom who always taught us to not rely on a man and to work hard for what we want. I'm glad she's doing better now, I hope she can learn her true value.
