During my primary school years I would go to the library every Friday just for a dose of Goosebumps books. R. L. Stine was my childhood hero his books brought joy and excitement into my childhood. He is one of the reasons why I enjoy reading novels. What a legend he is and one of my favourite authors.

The original book covers by Tim Jacobus were simply amazing, the colours and that fisheye lens perspective really caught my eye as a kid.

I met him! He was in NYC hosting a trivia game at a bookstore with other young adult authors. He was so warm and humorous. I said to him, out of surprise, “Wow! You are taller than I imagined.” He said, “Well, thank you. You’re taller than I imagined.” He signed my old copy of “The Haunted Mask” and my best friend’s copy of “Night Of The Living Dummy.” It was one of the greatest nights of my life.

Im 35, had the book collection as a kid (minus 3) last year I found the 3 I didnt have, then got all goosebumps 2000 n nightmare room books..and new fear st. Novels etc .. Good stuff lol

I love goosebumps when the first movie came out I didn’t know what it was and when I watched it I loved it and when I found out goosebumps books came out and I really wanted to read I did had like two books but I read them there so good and I watch the episodes of goosebumps series it’s so good so yeah I love goosebumps 😀

Werewolf Skins was a fantastic book that's still with me, all these years later. Ugh, that one (and a few others) royally broke boundaries in regards to eerie atmosphere and body horror.

@@Alexsmokestree I would say "no". I think Fear Street books were written for teenagers (16 years) whereas the 3 Netflix movies are adult-rated (18 years). But I far not have read all the books!

I loved his books as a young girl and still read them as an adult but Netflix using his Fear Street name but adding withcraft and gay characters was not needed. None of his actual books have that in them.
