At first, I couldn't STAND Kathryn... I mean I despised her, but I like her now. She has matured quickly. Children tend to do that to us. But I don't think you said anything that should cause the attack dogs to come out. You made a valid and truthful observation. I think they really do care about Kathryn, and it concerns them (after all the forgiveness, and time invested in supporting her) that she is not making certain right choices. She must have come into a lot of money, perhaps an inheritance from her late grandmother and grandfather? As a high-level Real Estate broker, Cameran was mostly concerned that Kathryn was wasting $6,600.00 on a rental when she should be financially wise and invest her money in Real Property instead. Plus, Kathryn spent between $230,000.00 - $300,000.00 for a brand new Bently automobile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nevertheless, she does have two children young children, which she may soon get full custody of, and she needs to responsibly plan for their futures: The right schools, colleges, Kinnzies' wedding, etc. Life happens, and as a parent, she will need to be wise with her money, the men and friends she brings into their lives, and the values she invests in characters. It appears these Southern Charm cast members are people who genuinely care about her well being physically, mentally, and emotionally. They want to see Kathryn flourish in all areas of her life. They are more sensitive to her situation knowing that she struggles with addiction, depression, and self-loathing. When they see certain familiar red flags and patterns in her behavior taking place, it sends off loud sirens of concern. They appeared to just want to communicate with her, which is the healthiest building instrument in any relationship. Kathryn had come so far, and her friends do not want to see all of that hard work slip away. They are invested too.

Christian Marion the reason Kathryn is run through the mud and Camerankeeps most of her life private from the show is that she set boundaries at the beginning and Kathryn did not. One wanted the most notoriety and one did not. Kathryn is young and there have been so many times I wanted to tell her to stop acting the fool and airing all her dirty laundry. Of course Thomas is old and there have been many times I wanted to tell him the same. Cameron seems most of the time to be the most grounded and stable of the bunch of them on this show. Don’t even get me started on Patricia lol.

Really? I don’t think she seems miserable at all. But motherhood definitely changes you. It forces you to mature (even if you were already pretty mature to begin with) and to always put your kid before yourself. Girls night out is pretty seldom and your energy is about done by the end of the day. So, yea it’s really hard but it’s also one of the best jobs in the world.
