What a beautiful lady! I'm not sure how im just now hearing about her, but im binge watching anything about Annette and i can honestly say.. I have such a huge amount of love and respect for both her and her husband! I truly hope she knew how much love and admiration her fans had for her then and still do today. It breaks my heart knowing the horrific amount of suffering that herself and so many others go through with MS, cancer and all these other evil diseases and i pray that i live long enough to finally see a cure developed, and finally an end put to the millions suffering from these evils! My daddy and grandparents won't benefit as they have already passed away, but at least i know that when that day comes, no other child, wife, husband, parent etc.. Will have to sit helplessly and watch their loved ones suffer and deteriorate to nothing! Sorry i get extremely emotional.. But God Bless Mrs. Annette Funicello, her amazing husband and anyone else lost or suffering! Their all dancing painlessly in heaven now.

It has been ten years since we lost our beloved Annette Funicello and I still think about her every day and I haven't been the same and I have no reason for not to cry and sometimes I want to cry because I don't want to and she will be remembered by her colleagues and her family and fans who grew up with her since the beginning of her career

I discovered Annette when I was 10 years old. This was back in the mid 70's and cable tv had just become a thing. The Mickey Mouse Club reruns were airing creating a whole new fan base some 20 to 25 years later after the original airing. They also began re-airing all the beach movies she was in as well. I was taken back by her clean cut wholesome sex appeal. She was the perfect image for a kid my age to admire. It breaks my heart that she struggled with this disease so painful to watch , but Im so glad she had great support and love not only from her husband but from all over the world. We loved you Annette and still do. :)

Its a terrible sin that such a lovely person had to be stricken with such a horrific disease. You have to give her an tremendous amount of credit for handling the situation so bravely and openly and without bitterness. Im am very familiar with situations of this kind. My mom was stricken with viral encephalitis of the worst kind at the age of 56. She was left with some brain damage. My grandfather who at 84 was in perfect health, suddenly was stricken with ALS, (Lou Gehrigs Disease).he passed away in one year after diagnosis. I totally understand what Annette had to endure and her family as well. RIP Annette and your very supportive husband Glen.

Looking at this is so sad she was a great actress. For her to go through this disease is just terrible RIP Annette.
Wow. I know who Ms. Funicello is, though she was b4 my time…and have read about her and seen some of the films she made, the beach films…and I think she was, in fact, playing herself. Kind, sweet, humble. Was very hard, at the end of this clip, to see her thanking her friends and fans (interchangeable, I believe, for her….friends and fans) when it should be the friend and fans, thanking her. I hope they had the chance to. Yes, much of what she did was fluffy by today's standards but perhaps we need more fluff and less hard core themes as we have, today. As an Italian American, she also make me proud in that she didn't change her name, despite requests by Mr. Disney, as most others did. She was and remains a very positive role model for so many from people like me to those coping and living with MS (any illness, really). One of those people who will not be forgotten, even if her work is not seen anymore, her name is remembered for so many reasons and I truly hope she is at peace, wherever that might be.

Linda Jakub ,What a terrible thing to say about such a person who suffered for 20 yrs straight .Do you not believe in God who died and suffered on the cross for all us sinners. Believe me if you don't think God let Annette in the Kingdoms of Heaven that sick brave lady . Then theirs no way you will be in his Kingdom. I think you need to ask God for forgiveness and Repent for your sins so you're not damned to Hell for your terrible words on a sick woman that was put on this earth maybe to give people with Ms hope ,So just maybe God used her as a tool. And if you don't believe in God then theirs no help for you at all !you'll be going straight to Hell !

Entertainment Tonight was the sole venue for stars to respectfully release news, they themselves wanted to be released. Pre-dating internet May and Annette were friends and both tops in their field. Annette whom I was friends with 35 years did not want the tabloids to start saying she was drunk, etc. as per Hart. As per Annette. Shelley Fabares knew it first, as they were lifelong friends.
