The queens this season seem to have a similar level of drag in terms of the budget and recognition outside the competition, which makes the season all the more interesting, I think. More recent past seasons had queens who were already well-known on social media with a large social & business network. Think of Gotmikk for example. She is an absolutely fantastic drag artist and deserved her the spot in the finale, but it is simply not logical to expect queens like Elliot or Joey to show the same calibre of drag considering they are not as established because of the lack of exposure they've had in terms of their brands and overall careers. This season feels more balanced. I am happy because I think one of the most beautiful things about Drag Race is the way it allows small-budget / small-town queens to show their artistry and remind all the aspiring queens out there that you don't have to be rich to start doing drag. Initially, drag is on a dime, it is what you make of the very limited sources you have for many people.

I was also getting worried about this cast in the being funny/charisma dept but wow did just about all of them light up in this interview?! Bosco , June, Orion and Camden were all kind of quiet but the rest showed a ton of personality and were all super funny. Also seems like a pretty tight knit class . Notice how the shady golden boot question went unanswered ! Kornbread said herself for the other half of the shady question . They handled potentially shady questions as a family would ! All laughs and seem to enjoy each other more then almost any other season I can think of off the top of my head
