(When Bishop George Reindorp was translated to the See of Salisbury in January 1973, David Brown, then Vicar of Christ Church, Herne Bay, was appointed in his place. He was installed and enthroned on 17 November 1973 by the Dean of Guildford, Rev Anthony Bridge)
