Actually we never say this as "Cheers" in Russia, but somehow western movies and/or media popularized this and we often have a kind laugh when we see someone saying that we do say this (with glasses of vodka in our hands) 😊 This phrase is very common as a reply to "Thank you" - it's our version of "you're welcome!", but 100% not "cheers!", we have other idioms for that.

Dear chess community @2:30 I made the hasty, and as as it turns out, idiotically stupid choice of cxd5 rather than the great bigly move of exd5. The reason for this is a voice in my head was repeating the general rule "with pawns take towards the center", so I thought applying that taking with the c6 pawn was the move. I am deeply sorry for my error, and no doubt I'll repeat similar errors many times.
