Always loved Wolverine as a character. A man who is characterized by his tortured past and his internal struggle to retain his humanity against his own animalistic mutation and feral rage.

a lesson to all, if you think about it. you can let your past make you a monster OR you can use your past to fight current monsters, which in turn prevents them from creating more... it's that old cycle of abuse analogy. That's what I always liked about him. He has his faults, but he's a good guy. I sure wouldn't want him as an enemy!

But these were written before Dog was invented and before we knew Logan's backstory, so their could be a chance they hinted at Sabertooth being his brother back then... yeah about that... for a while he was intended to be... specifically he was implied to be John Howlett Jr.. Though they later revealed him to be someone else. Prior to that he was intended to be Wolvie's dad.

something i always liked about him is his discernment and morality and how well grounded in reality he is compared to everyone else. he's the guy we wish we could be. AND Wolverine is all about that dangerous freedom and taking responsibility for ones actions. the bulk of his enemies are a threat to his freedom or the wellbeing of others. I wish we had more people like him in real life.

The Barry Windsor run might be a good story to do. I've got the Marvel Comics Presents line somewhere. Don't think I had them all though. If I remember right, the Barry stuff was both written and illustrated by him. Soon after the run, Keith started on a Cyber run I think.

To my understanding it was a mental thing. That why he slowly started to look less feral losing the hair on his arms, getting his nose back, and then finally looking like himself again.

@@assassinsknight on reflection I think I could see it being a mental thing too. Like his artificially induced skeleton kept his healing factor stable. Where as he turned into a steroid monster without it. Like he has a degree on mental control he has never had to use. Also, I do not consider the no nose cannon. As not all artist drew him like that.

Weapon X was a Canadian Military Program not American Sabert Tooth and Wolverine are not brothers they have no relation at all. Wolverine in main continuity has two half siblings Dog Logan from his mother and John Howlett Jr from his adopted/legal father.

This makes me realized how rushed ‘97 was, even more so than I thought before. I kinda wished they did 24 episodes or build up to the super centinal arc for the next season. Give everything a more natural progression and growth then just shoehorning plot for the sake of more plot without giving the chapters to process or let us see their process more clearly. It’s really sad.

a lot of this was really infantile writing. Cyber getting released, wolverine and cannonball decide to have a race and then having a beer while being disturbed by juggernaut, and cannonball picks a fight with him.. it's like a 5-year old came up with these plot ideas.

I can't accurately remember, but there were times where X's powers were reduced or stunted, and he had to rely on cerebero to do what he normally does. Usually for the purpose of convenience for the story somehow. Some stories require there not to be a worldwide wiretap.
