If you really think about it, technically Palpatine was the rightful owner of the Darksaber and ruler of Mandalore after he defeated Maul in Season 5 episode 16 "The Lawless". Of course, ruling one planet is meaningless to him in comparison to Galactic domination.

I think it has to do with his trust of the wepon. We just wants to dominate it and it's not going to let him do that. It requires for him to let go and trust the wepon. Then I believe he will become more fluent with it.

This has been said possibly, since din tried at first to give it away to bo katan. The blade was basically insulated therefore is why he's having problems wielding it. Imo it is sentient but the reason din is having problems wielding is because hes not focused, You need to be focused to use it and his feelings are all over the place. His mind is unfocused and thinking about everything other than connecting to the blade. Mainly just missing his grogu.

Din Jarin isn't being true to himself, that's why it's fighting him, all other user of the Saber used it according to true self, no doubts about the self, right now, Din Jarin is without solid purpose, he misses grogu of course, but now he also know about the Saber and what it means for his future possibly. The blade doesn't want to be used by someone who doesn't know what they want.

My personal head canon was that the dark saber was made up of pieces of the generator doomsday device that Revan used to wipe out the mandalorian fleet that’s why it’s so different

This is a very good overview of the history, but you're wrong about why the dark saver is fighting the Mandalorian. The Armor specifically says that he is fighting the blade, and that his mind is not clear.

Hay there Stupendous Wave thanks for the video like always your knowledge of star wars lore is a wonderful gift to us fans. That said, i have a lore question that is somewhat off topic but is about light saber's and their crystals in general & hope you might have some incite. Asoka got a 2nd light saber in the 4th season of Clone Wars, and if memory serves it was a gift from Anikin. I think you did a video on it a while back. My question comes down to the force link between a jedi and their crystals. If a jedi goes to the caves of Ilum to find a crystal, it calls out to them like if crystal is choosing the jedi. So how would that work with Asoka's 2nd saber being from a crystal that called out and is linked to Anikin's connection with force and not hers? I just thought that would be an interesting subject for a video and fun topic of conversation. I would love to get your perspective on this.

Din is fighting against the dark saber. He needs to relax, and forget about Grogu, for now. Remember what the Mandalorian lady said? If someone unworthy of it uses it, it will fight them. Right now, he is unworthy of it. Luke said "talent without training is nothing." Mando needs proper training.

She's lying. She forged beskar into Dinn's multi dart launcher weapon. Little Birds, if I remember correctly. A clear weapon, unless Dinn is part of a pub dart team somewhere. And if the argument is that she only forged the launcher but not the darts... well, the hilt is beskar and not the blade.

Jango Fett should have been the rightful ruler of Mandalore since, in Legends, he killed Tor Visla. Perhaps the DS wants to be with Boba Fett since he’s Jango’s clone. Every person who weilded the Dark Saber after Tor Visla was cursed. Sabine only “found” it. She never really won it in combat.

I don't think Dinn keeps it. Bobba seems to be on his way to being a great leader. The rise of the mythasour (probably misspelled) is happening right before our eyes in The Book of Bobba Fett. Bobba is well versed In riding giant creatures. He will train on the Rankor, assist Dinn in the mines below Mandalor where they find an ancient beast. Bobba will use his training in riding giant creatures to take the beast and complete his rise... to Mandalor the Great 😃

@@adrianuribe1057 I never said he wanted another ceature. Find is the word I used but I just watched Rebels episode 15 of season 3 and may have change my thoughts. I have to watch it again. Sabine finds the weapon heavy at the start of her training as well. It lightens in her hands as she faces her inner fears and gains confidence. Dinn's fear for the child and lack confidence maybe holding him back. I merely had an idea and posted it🤷🏽‍♂️. Jabba had a menagerie of creatures though, not just the Rankor. Maybe Bobba gets his own little zoo in the desert too? Maybe not. Peace and long life🖖🏾

Ok my question is this: Couple years back the story was that they were 2 black light saber’s Darth Plagus had a Black and when Sidius killed his Master he took it. Is that not Story anymore? Also their was also a Completely Clear and Transparent Saber, but everyone who ever tried to wield it failed. Does that story still stand?

This video gave me this thought…. What if the dark saber isnt meant for din. Even though he won it by combat. What if it is meant for grogu. The watch considered him to also be a foundling and he is a force user. Grogu’s trail by fire is to be able to walk both paths just like the creator of the dark saber. Din’s job is to hold on to it and teach grogu the way. He is really the only one with the power to bring all the mando’s together and hold the saber. They say there is a time jump to season 3 of mando and that season 4 will have a different title name. What if din isnt “the mandolorain” the title speaks of, and the real mandolorain is Grogu. I wanna see a movie or series strictly focusing on the life n death of Torre vizsla! since he is the only documented mando/jedi he's ripe to have his story told. alot more interesting than new republic, andor or any of the b.s they have planned. only series I care about they have planned is ashoka and obiwan. id much rather see stories about old republic or even a series focusing on night sisters and dathomir witches rather than the "easy" route of Lando or han solo, most of us wanna see topics that have rarely been touches on NOT stories on well known characters we seen dozens of times already!

just wanted to add something, since we kno so little about Torre vizsla there is so much meat on the bone there! I'm sure there's a whole season worth of conflict regarding the drama Torre would have caused leaving mandalore to train as a jedi, how it either split or brought together and strengthened the bond between mandolorians and jedi,a bond which never existed prior to Torres birth and discovery of force powers!.. therez a whole season worth on just his journey to find all the material needed to build the one and only darksaber! we don't even know what kind of force user Torre ended his life as either, what kind of jedi was he? did he struggle with any darkside tendencies? did the mandalorian welcome his existence with open arms or was there a conflict regarding which way of life was a priority to Torre? was he more jedi or mandolorian? what about Torre has been wiped away or changed about his life in the history books? there soooooo much they can do with just that one character, and it's because he is a one of a kind in the galaxy like a luke or vader. there was only one of his kind just like lukes "chosen one" moniker is one of a kind! if they play it right they could get soo much milage outta the 1st and only mandolorian jedi knight!!

Can somebody pls answer this. Lightsabers are able to deflect blaster bolts because they are round from the admitter to the tip of the blade. For example Lukes green blade is rounder and longer than standard sabers. The Darksaber is almost a flat blade so how could the it deflect blaster bolts?

Okay okay okay but hear me out obviously killing an opponent let's you lay claim to the saber but isnt the case everytime as seen with Din Djarin disarming and beating Moff Gideon but letting him live so by that logic either Moff Gideon still has claim or simply disarming an opponent is enough to gain the blades allegiance like with the elder wand in harry potter so if this is the case killing or disarming the owner will earn you the claim to it and if that's the case then by all rights at the time of the book of boba fett Luke Skywalker has true claim to the saber and the right to rule mandalore because obi wan beat maul and vader beat obi wan then luke disarmed vader (literally) i.e. he should have the weapons allegiance but I guess going off this logic since palpatine beat maul when he had it originally then i suppose that would mean that palpatine has claim to it but since Rey officially killed palpatine in TRoS then by most recent events Rey has true claim to it. But theres all sorts of what ifs and technicalities like does passing the saber down count towards its allegiance or not cause if not then no one should have claim really but enough of my garbage headcanon you can be on with your day.

The more I think about the less it makes sense. How can a Mandolorian become a Jedi? Mandolorian is a culture not a race. The parents of a mandolorian would never allow their child to be taken from them. Even if that was to happen, the child would be a mandolorian, it would be a Jedi and learn the ways of the force not the way of the mando.

Actually, there is one character that has a rightful claim to the dark saber as this character defeated Maul in combat….Palpatine. He defeated him in The Clone Wars. How Maul kept it in his possession after that is unknown because he fought him with his double bladed light saber. He did have it in Rebels because Ezra asked what it was and it was then taken by Sabine and given to Bo-Katan.
