Draupadi was really a great woman who served her husband even after the insult , she fulfilled all her duties as a daughter , a wife , a sister and a friend . Her life starts with sorrow , when her father was told to pray for a daughter he told that he needed a girl who was the most beautiful and her life will be filled with sorrow. When Arjun won her in the swaymbar , kunti told her to divide it into 5 brothers [ even though it was her wish in the previous birth to gain a husband who has all the five qualities] but it was not really easy for her to attain to 5 husbands but she did it . In the game of playing dice , she was humiliated in front of the entire sabha inspite of the presence of her 5 husbands , yes duryodhana won over the Pandavas but as a husband his one of the most important responsibility is to protect her wife but who saved her , her friend , Krishna the god . For a women her clothes and her respect is the most important thing [ now a days girls are told to get married so that her husband can protect her , but they don't even think that draupadi had 5 husbands who were very powerful but still they couldn't save her , she prayed god , Krishna , for help ] after that Mahabharata war took place which was a revenge for humiliating draupadi , draupadi lost her father , her brother as well as her 5 sons , even though Pandavas won the war but still can she ever forget that moment when her clothes were being taken off . She even served other wives of her husband's with immense pain in her heart . She was really a stong woman to live after so much thing happened to her .

I don't know why people insult her. Even if you watch the star plus serial, it doesn't showcase her as someone who is selfish. I don't know what do people expect from her. How can she be the cause of the war? She was insulted in the dyut sabha and it was nothing but justice for the perpetrators to get punished. Do people want to imply that one should stay mum if the perpetrator is from your family? Moreover, how can someone like Karna, the one who called draupadi a vaishya? It's people's mentality that is at fault here, not draupadi. I was mesmerized by her and Krishna when I started watching the show, which made me read many books related to mahabharata and even though, the so-called modern authors called her manipulative, I feel they didn't understand the true nature of the epic. All they wrote about her was based on their half baked, unintelligent analysis. I understand that the show didn't show everything accurately, especially towards the ending of the war, but in no way did they portray Draupadi as someone who was selfish and manipulative. Even then, I suggest people read the actual edition of Mahabharat, because more we know, the better we understand the world.
