If someone isn't on your vehicle insurance policy, they shouldn't be driving your vehicle. PERIOD! It's a liability issue. If they are in an accident while driving your car, your insurance company can refuse to cover the accident or even terminate your policy. Remember, if they aren't on the policy, they don't get the keys. If you are worried about trespassers and thieves, security cameras are a help, but I also suggest stringing cans with a handful of pebbles in them to movable things, like vehicles, outside furniture, gates, and the inside handles of any exterior doors. This makes a cheap, but effective burglar alarm. Also, don't forget the motion activated lights. If someone is harassing you, file a police report and have a lawyer send them a Cease and Desist letter. The paper trail will help if you have to get a restraining order or file a lawsuit.
