My kids never asked questions. If an adult told them something, especially an authority figure & someone they trusted AND I or Dad was around they never would think to question it. They weren’t the type of kids who would hang around adults & listen to conversations (I loved doing that as a kid). They wanted to be as far away from boring talking as they could get! They (they’re twins) never hovered around the adults to eavesdrop-they wanted to play. They also trusted us so they trusted the people we brought around them-so if anyone who was with us (or a teacher, police, etc…) asked them to do something, they would automatically assume we think it’s ok for them to do it. We knew this of our children & parented accordingly-it’s not something we taught them to do. I don’t know if it was a twin thing? They knew they’d be together & that’s all that mattered? I dunno honestly. It was scary sometimes. We had to really pay attention to them when they were little, especially in groups of people we didn’t know well. Let’s just say we didn’t do that type of socializing for a few years, at least until they could understand & appreciate the meaning of ‘stranger danger,’ bad & good touch & all of the other creepy things sicko adults like to do to kids.
