Your voice echoes in the video. There's foam mats that you can smack on the wall (small office works best) that should completely remove this. Love the video, thanks for the good work!

Thanks so much for the advice! It was actually an issue with how I recorded it! I think I actually had sound through my AirPods also... at least that’s the theory. It might be the software I used. You should hear the original audio. It’s literally impossible to listen to haha. I had to do hrs of post processing to fix it. Oh well - lessons learned! Still really appreciate the advice. Anything else? I think I didn’t need to speak at the start... and that I could’ve previewed the best bit at the end for 10 seconds to ‘hook’ viewers better. I'm always seeking to improve, so any advice you have is brilliant!

I just got typed as an ENTJ and feel this anxiety related to my future very often. I always try and control my future (as if that's actually possible) and get anxious when things don't go may way or when people get in the way of that. The key is to surrender. As a Christian I surrender that to Christ.
@TeNiPersonalityGrowth
@TeNiPersonalityGrowth 3 жыл бұрын
I think it's possible (necessary even) to exercise over our futures - but with the recognition that we are mortal and not omnipotent (limited in our control) I think the Christian idea of 'surrendering to Christ' is, in many ways, a recognition of our basic/selfish biological desires... one that creates a desire to live better, be better - to follow the example Christ gave. In doing this, we make wise choices that don't satisfy immediate gratifications, but create value, invest in the future, build community. It's very 'future' oriented... the culture it creates operates even beyond our short life spans.

As an ENTJ, I never experienced high anxiety until I was 60 years old. I always handled my little anxiety in the past with a solution to the problem. But at 60, my business was bad, I was not in a relationship, and I couldn’t push my way out of anxiety. I had heart palpitations, nausea, and sleeplessness. This went on for 9 months. Took lots of long walks by the beach, tried to distract myself, but I couldn’t shake it. I met someone special and we started dating. But I had no appetite, and kept losing weight, which concerned me. I read “The Power of Now” by Echardt Tolle and realized that I was projecting my fears into the future as well as beating myself up for the past. I began to heal by staying in the present moment and quieting my very active negative brain. I am now almost 70, and have not had a panic attack in 9 years. ENTJ people are future oriented. If we stay present, we are much better off!

I guess if we stay less in our Ni, more into Te Se we will experience less anxiety. because Ni feeds Fi. same with Te feeds Se. if we focus more on Te you'll be better at being in the Se present

@@naturalinstinct4950 interesting concept. How do you suggest we do that? It has taken me years to develop my NI so that it could better serve my TE and put it to good use. I think the answer is developing the SE more and stay present more. I try to take time to turn off the chattering voice in the head. I take long walks on the beach, meditate and get into my painting hobbies which require my full attention and access the right side (creative) side of my brain. I really don’t want to minimize my Ni. It is too valuable to me.

@@susankievman642 u want to find a balance between Se and Ni. when you use Ni you automatically supress Se, and vice versa. so to maintain this balance you need to constantly switching between Ni and Se. don't use one function for too long. Maintain a "predator mentality" constantly scanning the environment(Se) and analysing it(Ni) to find preys(Te). my tip to improve Se is simply getting more physical and intense. you will find good Se helps Te more than Ni(because its slow( in many situations. my last point is that its not efficient for us to stick into Ni for too long is that Ni feeds Fi, and the problem is we're not INTJ our Fi is inferior function, so there's a potential of falling into this Fi inferior grip.

@@susankievman642 I haven't developed my Se until I was 16 and I used to be clumsy and out of shape when I was a kid. and then I started to get serious into boxing and I became more sporty than SPs in less than 2 year and now I started to transition to Krav Maga and also start to play Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. and literally I adapted in 2 weeks. so another tip to develop Se from my personal experience will be start to learn some sports, especially the ones that requires a lot of focus on spontaneity

As an ENTJ who is a female who had Postpartum this was a horrifying start to creating anxiety... I think one thing to keep in mind is that once you have practiced that mind loop repeatedly it can be come habit and the brains neuro networks get stuck in that loop. You have to find a form of therapy or alt med that addresses loop correction. Repairing the neuro networks back to their original form.

Nailed it. I also believed for a very long time that I never experienced anxiety. It was like a foreign concept and I had no idea what people were talking about. It does not happen as much for me as some people because I have practised healthy ways of dealing with it when I do have the occasional episode. That brings back the control and I am able to focus on goal again. Fellow ENTJ.

Thank you both for your testimony. I relate to the alone feeling a little too much for my taste. ENTJ woman here, pretty, healthy, successful, and alone. I think I have journeyed too much compared to others, evolved, and this gap has widened, and now I wonder who can relate to me.

I'm entj, and I failed my fav subject twice, yes this is how I feel, but my dad as an ISTJ keeps threatening and scaring me about the consequences of failing again, which makes my depression even worse it makes me feel like I'm not trustable and worthless, i don't know how to regain my confidence again

My Dad is also an ISTJ! He's definitely the 'tough love' type - I wonder if that had an influence in our personalities? It's love... because it wants the best for you and wants to help you by highlighting the 'proper/best' process (Si - introverted sensing) but comes across hyper critical. At least that could be true of my father? How you are feeling is definitely describing is an inferior Fi - the bane of every ENTJs existence - something I can relate to :)

Great conversation. I never understood what people were talking about when they talked about anxiety so much. Later in life, when faced with the mortality of my last parent and trying to do a million and one things, my body finally said, “Stop!”. I had to humble myself and stop multi-tasking, started writing into a journal and slowing down. I was able to stop the panic attacks in about 3 months doing these things, etc. It was so foreign to me just like the face you made when your friend was explaining a panic attack 😂😂😂. Please keep making more videos. Could you do a video on the importance of journaling and how to do it? Thanks.

honestly, I never had anxiety or panic attack. my Si is a real blindspot, I have no idea what's "comfort zone". i think i'm more focused on my Te Se than most ENTJs. which means i almost completely block Fi. from my life experience i realise I experience emotions such as fear and anticipation way less often and with such low intensity that I can't even realise. like an instinct, my Te overrides it and then I enter this "flow state" instead of worrying
@TeNiPersonalityGrowth
@TeNiPersonalityGrowth 3 жыл бұрын
Yesss.. I can 100% relate to what you are saying when you describe the Te override. Where does this link to your Si blindspot? I'm not sure I understand, but very interested to find out!
@naturalinstinct4950

@@TeNiPersonalityGrowth Si has a lot to do with comfort zone, since it constantly internalise sensory information by comparing the present to the past; therefore creating "comfort zone" by things are familiar to the person. Si blindspot means the person is often unaware of this cognitive function and rarely pat attention to it. so someone with Si blindspot basically is unaware of how things differ from past experience, therefore they have "no idea" what sounds familiar to them. this results to inability to have a "comfort zone" beacuse the person doesn't have a clue about what is "comfortable" and familiar to themselves

I've had something like that before and I didn't know what it was. I almost lost a million-dollar deal on a media deadline. Within minutes it was gone. And all of a sudden I thought I was having a straight up attack. I ended up in the ER and they told me it was a panic attack. I've never heard of such a thing. It's very much how your friend describes it. Sometimes I get nervous before I have to do public speaking and so they prescribe me propranolol which is a beta blocker. I wonder if it would help in a panic attack situation? - fellow entj ❤️
