13:00 Although we have to fight asymmetrical as underdogs, we can fight differently by “doing things that don’t scale”! Incredible inspiration

@stefan9599
@stefan9599 Жыл бұрын
@@Arthur-vq2me He kinda explained it in the video. But as a startup founder, when you are early and only have a few customers, you can do things that don't scale. That means things like talking to all your customers, offering the best support possible for your customers, another example is the airbnb example where they went to their first users houses and took the marketing pics for them. As a small startup, you need to do things that big companies cannot do because they simply have way too many users.

7:29 - You should work two years on something before it's working. Damn right. It's been two years of our startup, and when we started, I never imagined that what we are building today will be our product. I thought I knew everything about customers, but it turned out to be completely wrong. But my ego wouldn't let me accept the fact for too long... Fortunately, when finally I had the courage to face the reality and started to talk to customers, it all became a different story. We are still in the stage of pre-PMF, but we became much more humble and are eager to learn more about the customer. The journey so far has been and will continue to be tough, but we will not give up until we achieve our mission: 'empower lifelong learners.' Thanks for sharing your story, Michael & EO.

I needed to hear this today: 'If you ask any successful startup founder, they never know the answers when they start.' As someone who's been hesitating to take the first step because I feel unprepared, this is a powerful nudge to just get started and learn along the way
