I get you wanted to use all the same material. That is good on your part. It would have been nice to see if the high speed of the Vevor would actually produce a final polish after your normal set of steps. Thanks for the information. There was a lot of it in this video. Thanks for do it.

Well I heard all the good information about tumblers. I had two NG and one harbor freight, and you are right on the harbor freight, was high maintenance to fix and I’m a older lady and just can’t fix it and NG just didn’t hold up… So will give this a try. I’m not into all you do but I like the hobby and going out for the hunt. Also like looking at your videos. So will try the Vevor. Thank you again for your knowledge. Good Blessings

Hiya Scott, awesome video and review. If I were too buy one, I would probably buy the one you reviewed just to check it out. I'll tell you the first one I had was very noisy and drove me nuts. I have several kinds and some work better than others, but they are all quiet. I forget they are rolling sometimes. I hope it helps someone out there, so I hope you have a awesome blessed day. I have the harbor freight and the nat geo. Love my nat geo. I tumble harder stones love the 3-4 day cycles, use Rock Shed media and follow your polish advice works great for me. I will definitely look into the Vevo. Thanks for the review

The results for Vevor show that using higher number grit in #1 tumble will work better and not lose so much stone.

Excellent video. You will find that only 3 tablespoons instead of 5 of grit will be perfect.

Excellent SBS review. That Vevor is a nice surprise. Do you think with finer grit in stage 1 it would be good for Jasper (7 Mohs) tumbling for 5 days?

It should be okay. It does sound way too fast for my liking. If the speed could be reduced to 40 RPM to 44 RPM that would be great.

Very nice review! I don't have a tumbler but have an idea to tumble old broken glass I find around the ranch to make "beach glass" to use in some kind of crafts. Do you think that would work?

I think you will want a slower rolling rotary tumbler for beach glass.

OK, be honest, you tumbled your driveway rocks didn't you? By the way, the newer Vevor tumbler has a speed dial on the right side, so, if it's too fast just dial it down.

No I did not tumble just driveway rocks. And it was already set on its slow setting, and the Vevor is dead, I should probably delete this video

⅓ cup of grit is too much for those small barrels. I use 3-4 tablespoons on a 3 lb barrel and don't have unused grit.

One-Third cup of grit is just fine for MY procedures and recipe. You can do whatever you want, but this is my equipment, my procedures, my recipe on my rocks and I get results better than 90 percent of those tumbling rocks. I will place my finished material up against anybody else's at any time and there are very few who can match my quality.

My Vevor motor over heated within 10 minutes of a 2 day first stage cycle. Let it cool off for an hour and with in 10 minute.....OVER HEATED the MOTOR. It has less than a pound of rock, grit, and water. OVER HEATED. SUX. Returning this junk.
