Entune freezes and reboots about once every day or two.

I had the same issue. As crazy as it sounds, it was my phone that caused the problem. First, if you unpair the phone on the radio AND on the phone, the issue with the radio rebooting should stop. Then if you pair the phone and choose (DO NOT SYNC CONTACTS) it will work. Ultimately, I had to wait for an iOS update and then repaired and it all works fine now. Faulty radio headunit or faulty software. It's hard to know who to blame. Hope this helps.

@@brianmolina4476 first, upgrade iOS if you haven’t already. Then in both your phone settings and radio settings, unpair your phone. You have to do it on both the phone and car. Then choose to pair, but don’t sync contacts when prompted. It should fix your problem.

2015 4Runner Limited does the same thing. The only on the go fix is holding down the power button for several seconds to reboot the system while the car is running. But I like to know if anyone has any actual fix.

Not sure if anyone has solved this yet but. Turn the key on dont start tho, hold the power button, cycle the headlights 3x, then release power button and wait for it to reboot.

I got a 2015 Highlander a couple days ago. It started doing this on the second day I had it. And yes, it seems to happen more when it's raining. I'll have to try disconnecting my bluetooth. That's unfortunate, b/c that is something I wanted!!

Nicky Belle you could always plug your usb cord directly into the truck and select the phone in audio not Bluetooth. but be sure to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off because it turns back on by itself when it detects the truck

Same issue on my ‘15 Highlander Hybrid. Dealer just replaced the entire Entune radio head unit yesterday and the new one has the same rebooting problem. What a joke.

ATTENTION!!!! Hey I believe I found out the reason of why it keeps crashing and shutting off by itself. So I have a IPhone 7 + and whenever I connect it to the Bluetooth it makes the radio crash and restart a bunch of times. The only way I can play music from my phone without the radio crashing is plugging it in directly into the USB port to the car and select my phone on the radio screen instead of Bluetooth. It only works if the Bluetooth is off. So I’m thinking the updates on my phone has caused it to mess up.

Kd Waller I have a iPhone 8+ and my 2015 highlander is also doing the exact same thing! But like you said, if Bluetooth is not connected, it won’t crash. This is a very irritating issue.

Same issue. It just started tonight and it constantly rebooted my entire drive to work. As soon as I turned off the bluetooth on my iPhone 7 plus...issue resolved...SMH!

I had temporarily fixed mine. I reset it holding the power button for 3 seconds. It reboots it and starts working properly. Then last week same shit . Went to the dealership and they charge up to $3000 for fixing or repair and replace. 🤦‍♂️

Hey Brody if you have a iPhone you could try turning off your Bluetooth on it and it should start working. My truck still does the same thing but to play music from my phone I have to plug my usb cord directly into the truck with the Bluetooth turn off and select the phone not the Bluetooth on the truck screen.

Cooking with Justin micro sd didn’t work and Toyota wanted 80$. I installed entune on my phone and it connected and, then it asks to update, now it works perfectly

My 2019 Tacoma does the same thing. You have to unpair your phone. When you repair it, don’t allow your phone to sync all contacts. Problem solved.

Yes did it work? I have a 2015 highlander as well and the system literally crashes every three minutes. I have to use headphones on my iPhone and I want to listen to music while driving in the car.
