700c x 40mm for tyres? You will love the Fray :)

@@GravelCyclistyes, got the Hutchinson Caracal race 40mm 👍🏻

I have the Fray set up with XPLR 1x13, 44T with the 10-46 cassette. 32mm Conti 5000 TR tires rolling on Industry Nine AR 40 wheels. It's the best combination of a road bike I've ever ridden.

Looks like an awesome road bike, suitable for tame gravel.

How would you compare this to the Time ADHX? That one seemed to be a winner, also. Great content watching you live your best life riding bikes and talking about it.
@GravelCyclist22 сағат бұрын
Hello there, I have reviewed the Time ADHX 45, not the original ADHX. The 45 is a bike with larger tyre clearance than the Fray, and specifically meant for gravel cycling. If that's what you're looking for, I would choose the ADHX 45 over the Fray. Bear in mind, ENVE also offers the MOG, their own full-on gravel bike. Hopefully my response helps somewhat, thanks for chiming in!

Love it. How do you like the ash color in person?
@GravelCyclistКүн бұрын
Ash is my preferred color for this bike. The color is close to battleship grey, or in Dodge's muscle car paint nomenclature, Smoke Show :) The gloss coat over the top really makes the color pop.

I have Ash color as well. It looks great in person. I almost got the Venom color. It offers more pop if that's your thing. The Ash looks great with black or silver hubs or calipers.

My dream bike, only thing I feel conflicted is D-shaped seatpost. Or does Enve MOG play well with road wheels/tires? Maybe i should look at Mog if it does like Crux. PS: Honda Element is a great car ahead of others in practicality imo.
@GravelCyclist22 сағат бұрын
Hello there, I have only spent a short time riding a MOG, and never with road wheels / tyres. I'm sure you could make the MOG work as a do-it-all bike sans issues. I scratch my head as to why Honda decided to stop producing the Element. Glad I've hung onto mine all of these years!

I would also look at the Fifty One Sika. Round seat post, one piece bar and stem, T 47, and less money. 40mm tire clearance.

How'd you get along with this frame when the 4.5s where mounted? Sluggish or spirited?

Err 40mm not 4.5 inch
