Luke and Laura share their final goodbyes at the airport.
When Laura gets on the plane, she's not the only one in there.
(And so ends the Spencer adventure. Back to the days of the endless 90% mob dramafied show that is Guza's Phelpy Fronzified General Mobster + 2 great hospital doctors.)

Luke and Laura still have the chemistry. The scenes of their goodbye were so sad and yet remarkable, they still have it something you don't see with him and Tracy. I don't feel the connection with him and Tracy. Luke and Laura have had it since the beginning and still do today. I can't believe he didn't run after her. I was hoping when she turned around on the plane that Luke would be standing there not Scott. Please bring her back to Luke!!!!!

Genie and Anthony have so much chemistry and in such nuanced scenes; they make it their show. When I watch the scenes especially at the end, it seems like no one exists but them, that's the magic they bring, not to mention the magic they bring individually. I see now that Anthony is leaving again, and this time it could be permanent. However with Genie returning, I would like to see a great story for Laura. I have ambitious wishes that she receive the best story of her career, she and Laura deserves it. If they can do it for Luke they can certainly do it for Laura. There are so many things they can do with Laura; I'd like her to stay on permanently when Luke leaves, because they have children and storylines just waiting to be created AND resolved. I can't gush enough about Genie because she is one of my favorite actresses. I didn't even watch GH and she was still my favorite, that's how good she is, lol.

It has been fantastic having Genie back as Laura. My favorite storyline that have given her so far has been the Cassidine one with Victor. Her remembering that code from 42 years ago was awesome. She is one classy lady. I'm looking forward to her return from vacation so she can go find Nikolas. It is time her kids came home, even if they have to do some recasting of Nikolas, Lulu, and Lucky. She needs her kids in Port Charles. She is doing fine without Luke, even though Kevin is a tad boring. I'm hoping they bring on either a new Cassidine hunk for her or someone a little bad but not a mobster.

This scene is so heartbreaking.. ABC needs to bring back Genie Francis. This is THE Supercouple. Luke and Tracy cannot come close to the love between Luke and Laura. They are timeless. I Love Laura I always will but she is the one leaving no fault of hers, when Luke says you came you go there is so much pain in those words everytime she leaves it tears him completely apart. Exactly!!! You hit the nail on the head. And all because Tony Geary didn't want to do the whole "L&L thing" anymore. I understand TG's desire as an actor to want to take the character of Luke to different dramatic heights, especially after so many decades playing the same person. That being said you don't completely retcon an entire character, one who has been on our tv screens for 40 years and has been so perfectly written and acted for so long and destroy it simply because you want to continue acting alongside your real life best friend (Jane Elliot).

So glad Genie is on Young and Restless as GH has never appreciated her but have managed to kept Tony Geary on there with storyline after storyline,disgusting to say the least. I miss Genie with Stephen Nichols as Stefan,their storyline was fantastic until the powers that be ruined their relationship to send her back to the irritating and overrated Luke. They used her for years during sweeps for ratings and then would not give her a contract because of budget reasons. In my opinion they could have gotten rid of all the mobsters and just kept Laura.

I love GF,and so I may be a bit biased. I will always blame any over the top performances on BAD writing. Besides that, I know GF wants Laura to be tough. In a 2011 interview on Oprah,GF stated she would come back to GH,but that "there is nothing in me that wants to play the victim anymore." GF's return was the only reason I started watching again. I want to see her start kicking some ASS, esp. Luke's. It irkes me to no end to see her so weak and melodramatic.

Isn't it wonderful that Genie is returning. I am watching these videos of the last time Genie was on in 2008. Guza hated Genie Francis. I said those were Guza's words coming out of Tracy's mouth how she and Luke were so much alike and he could stay himself. Stefan cherished and loved Laura & her children and put up with her relationship with Luke. Luke deserves to be with Tracy. TORI87DEC I totally agree Luke and Laura will always be GHs supercouple but as time moves on so do characters especially since Laura was written out in 2002 with a mental breakdown that just killed Laura because it almost killed him emotionally he those were some heart wrenching scenes he had without Laura but he pulled himself back together after several close calls with other women he found Tracy Quartermaine their chemistry was intense! I am glad that GH paired Luke with Tracy and when he left in 2015 he turns down Tracy’s marriage proposal that pulled on my heart strings! I also loved Laura with Stefan Cassadine was shocked when Laura ended it with Stefan they had some serious chemistry together but if GH wouldn’t bring back Stefan then let Laura have a best friend and husband in Kevin Collins now if Luke were to return only briefly to see Laura one last time I am glad Laura married Kevin but GH writers ruined that when they decided to bring back Ryan Chamberlain to go around killing again

I've said it before - I was one of the 30 million watching that wedding. Skipped college classes, and watched to standing room only in our dorm. Like everyone else who are big LnL fans, I have a true ending in my head that I would love to see happen. Ah, well, thank goodness this stuff isn't real, or I'd be slapping Luke on the back of the head and saying, "Get on the plane dammit".

I saw the Oprah interview and all the interviews she's done for GH's 50 anniversary so I know how excited she was to return. I've been watching Genie since I was nine years old and other than being forced to play Laura weak and victimized (due to bad writing) I've never seen her portray Laura like this before. She had such faith in the new exec prod and headwriter, but I don't think they understand Laura at all.

Hey Integritypolice, do you think it's the current writing or the way Genie is playing her this time around? I can't always tell. Maybe the writers don't really get Laura and Genie is just trying to make the best of the situation. TG and Jane Elliott are best friends in real life. Tony has significant clout on the show. It wouldn't surprise me if he was responsible for putting them together. IMHO they have no chemistry. They are funny when they're squabbling, but I just don't feel the love supposedly between them. I actually like Laura with Kevin. He's closer to her age, he took her on "dates", he introduced her to things she missed running around with Luke. I really enjoyed LnL and their adventures, but the age difference between them is really obvious now, and Laura is no damsel in distress anymore. Still, I would never put Tony and Jane together as a couple. They're platonic in real life, and they should still stay platonic on the show, with all their silly squabbles. They are very funny together but a romantic couple? Not so much.
