The only thing I didn't like about this storyline was that no one told Kristina that she was wrong. Alexis kept telling her that she didn't do anything wrong, but she did, and Alexis and Sonny and Dante should've told her that.

This entire storyline while stiring up sympathy for female victims of dv really threw the male victims under the bus. Ethan's only crime in all of this was taking a beaten teen to hospital for that he had a gun pulled on him was physically assaulted more than once and he had to "understand" her and not be outraged or even angry that her lies could have killed him wtf gh and at no point afterwards do her parents or any other adult say hey maybe don't falsely accuse men of physical brutality all you got was you didn't do anything wrong (the hell she didn't).

Okay well, yes, domestic violence victems often lie about how they got their bruises and what not, but they usually say it's because they fel on something, or some other excuse to protect their attacker. They usually don't pin it on someone else. that though would have been okay, if she had come clean afterwards, and they didn't cover it up and cottle her.Sam was the only one who tried to tell her about responsibilities, but Alexis, and Sonny, no.

@lilymling domestic violence victims often lie about who hits them the first few times and try to protect their attacker. I know, its warped but that is usually how it is. Her portrayal in this story line was actually realistic. But I do agree with you that Kristina is one spoiled child..

Jack was very naive , when it came to Warren Bauer. Ethan never touched Kristina, cause she lied, because Sonny would have Jason take care of him. It was Kiefer all along. Dante knows why Kristina lied. He can not blame her. He blamed Kiefer for beating her up and Sonny , cause of what he would do the person who beat Kristina.

QueenSoap I have tons of sympathy for Kristina. She didn't deserve what happened to her. And I understand why she said what she said. But it's Alexis letting Kristina off the hook for things like this that lead to her being out of control, like lying all the time and faux dating a much older mobster, and hopping on planes to wherever with Ethan and trying to start a reality show as revenge against her parents. I don't think she should have been punished for this, but Alexis should have really nailed it home that accusing Ethan was wrong.

+Cheyenne Bonnick Right--- but I think there's a time for everything. When your daughter has been beaten down to a pulp by a guy and is in a victim frame of mind, I think the best thing to do is make her understand that she's not to blame for what happened. Kristina was already blaming herself for everything at that point...she was even blaming herself for Keifer's death, and she also admitted that what she did to Ethan was wrong without her mom having to tell her. I think saying things at the wrong time can be redundant when the person is already playing the guilt game. That being said--- prevention is always good to talk about before and after something like this happens....but maybe not right after when the person is still in the hospital. As far as other ways that Alexis failed--- I agree that Alexis and Sonny could have been more strict. Kristina was definitely a whiney teenager, and I'm glad she's matured since she's returned to GH.

What WAS Krsitina's fault as you pretty much said, was the fact that she lied about Ethan beating her, when it never happned. If she had told the truth about keifer from the beginning, this mess would NOT have happened. I understand that she was terrorfied and whatnot, but there is no excuse for lying.

This storyline annoyed me. No one ever apologized to Ethan. Sam was so nasty to him and yet she never apologized. Then you got Sonny plotting to murder Ethan and that made no sense, since Kristina would blame herself if Ethan had been killed. Sonny makes no sense at all.

She accused Ethan Lovett beating her tried protect her crazy jealous boyfriend. Keith was jealous because she's was flirting with Ethan he saw her flirting with Ethan Keith gotta jealous because she's supposed went dancing with Keith she stood him up chase after Ethan Ethan her he was for old her. She got mad she tried get vengeance on Ethan Lovett tried protect her boyfriend. I don't know . What reason did Ethan Lovett leave town.

i wish people would stop calling her spoiled and a bitch. maybe she needed to own her mistakes and maybe others should have let her, but under these circumstances, I don't have a problem with the way they handled it. Sonny, Alexis, Sam, ect. are too shocked that she stayed with a physically abusive guy to really think about what else she did wrong. I don't blame them for only caring that she gets the help she needs. I don't think it's right to put an abuse victim, through an arrest or whatever

The common characteristics of BWS women are as follows: She takes full responsibility over the abuse, and finds it difficult or impossible to blame the abuser himself; She fears for her safety; She irrationally believes that the abuser is all-powerful and will hurt her if she contacts the authorities and seeks help. Women suffering from BWS will frequently show signs of depression, too. They may be less enthusiastic about the activities they used to enjoy. They may also start to abuse drugs and alcohol. Once the signs of BWS are recognized, it's important to get help. Getting Help for Battered Woman Syndrome Victims As with any domestic violence situation, women with BWS should contact local law enforcement authorities and report their abuser. The police will make an arrest and the prosecution will hopefully advance. At this point, many battered women may try to recant their statements. They may feel sorry for their abuser or may fear violence if the police let him go. A large number of battered women recant, but it's important to keep in mind that recanting may subject the battered woman to criminal charges for lying to authorities. It's also worth noting that recanting does not usually affect the case. If the abuser has been arrested and his case moved forward, recanting will do little to prevent this. Battered women may also worry about testifying in court against their abuser. In domestic violence cases, the victim is required to testify in court against her abuser. BWS women are often afraid of their abusers. There are support options, however. In fact, there are people known as victim's aides who will stand in court and provide support for the victim as she testifies. Aside from these legal options, there are also organizations that provide psychological and emotional support to battered women. This may be necessary, as the separation process can be extremely difficult and confusing for a battered woman. Battered Woman Syndrome and the Law BWS is now recognized in legislation by many states and is considered when defending battered wives who kill or injure their abusive spouses. For the courts, BWS is an indication of the defendant's state of mind or may be considered a mitigating circumstance. For example, the court may consider that a BWS woman felt that she was justified in attacking her abuser, and that she was in reasonable fear of imminent danger due to her condition and her experiences with the abuser.
