How often do you see a mine as you are driving down the road? As an industry mining takes up very little space. Agriculture, on the other hand takes up lots of space and undoubtedly has adversely affected the world's environment. Somehow miners are bad guys and farmers are good guys. Both are absolutely needed. For both, regulation is required, but it should be based on reason and applied thoughtfully. Environmental zealots generally know sh* t, thanks to mainstream media, the education system, and cognitive bias and should not be allowed at the adult's table.
