I think consumerism is a very ingrained motive in our society. But anything can be sustainable if you pay attention to your habits. I don't think buying and having different types of decks is necessarily bad. You can buy from small creators and if you use them it is ok. At the same time blaming a normal person for the environmental crisis is pathetic. The 1% richest are the ones wasting as much as the 60% poorest. So yeah. It is not our fault at all.

THANK YOU 👏🏻👏🏻 the over consumerism in the spiritual community feels so gross & wrong. its the complete opposite of what this path is about. but i also totally get needing that pretty deck lol. its good to treat outseleves but not overindulge for our options become too plenty.

Tarot deck buy/sell/trade groups on Facebook are a great way to buy secondhand! These days I actually prefer to buy decks from an individual, to keep the deck in use and save us each some money vs buying new. And even if they aren’t cheaper than new, if they are in good shape I still prefer buying secondhand, and many others in these groups feel the same. ❤

Oh that’s awesome! I barely use Facebook but I need to look into it more 😂 getting secondhand decks on there sounds like an amazing option!
