The slightly halting way Enya is speaking in this interview makes me wonder if Enya was trying to avoid speaking in Gaelic, or was trying to convert her thoughts into English.

I think she's only trying to make it easier for the interviewer to understand and to make sure she's well understood, since it looks like the interview is in Japan. I don't think although her mother tongue is Gaelic that she needs to think too much to speak and to think in English.
