Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kanishiro are the best match of lovers. The leading lady is alluring while the leading man is gorgeous ! This is a heart-wrecking tragic love story but it's so beautiful with secret personal motives. But the love itself wins over what really resounds from the heart. You cannot deny whom you truly love. Losing someone and losing both at the end is the saddest part of this movie. Truly heart-breaking for a senti like me.

Its one of a kind. I remember seeing this in 2005 i think. I wish China made more movies like this. I guess i can understand like Superheroes or in Chinese movies with flying high in air. Its taking... unrealistic thing to a epic genre. But yeah i sorta wish there was more down to earth movies like this. House of flying daggers was very good!

ive bead rhat the final scene with the snow wasnt a planed event . The snow just happened out of no where.. how beautiful and special is thaaat.. im not a person whom usually watches a film mlre than once...ever.. but ive watched this one at least 5 times.. i love this film !!!
