In Gotch's shoot, he talks about how little wrestling knowledge Enzo has, even after getting signed. As far as I know, Gotch's argument was "the dude can't wrestle to save his life, and he's a danger to himself and others around him." So Enzo's response to Gotch's 18 minute evisceration of his wrestling skills and propensity to lie and brag like a 35 year old frat boy, is that Gotch had a nipple sticking out of a singlet at an indie show, and that he has an unusually large chest for a guy? Enzo is pretty much a textbook definition of a tryhard. He's the guy who wants to join the fraternity and hang out with the cool kids because they get all the girls, but the fraternity won't allow him in because nobody likes him. Sometimes they let him hang around the peripheries of the house party and tolerate it, and sometimes they literally kick him off the bus that the group travels on because they're not in the mood for him that day. They make him change in the stall during gym class. This is a man who, while in his mid 30's, not 21, was bragging about how much s3x he was having, leaving out the small details that the girls were morbidly obese. He was a terrible wrestler that got over as a lower card act for one year because his one talent was cutting a promo, and we've lowered the bar so much since the Ruthless Aggression era ended. This guy would've been jobbing to Gangrel on Heat in 1999 or Vito on Velocity in 2004. The guy has lips and strippers tattooed on him. He flexed a $10,000 ticket to Mayweather/McGregor so somebody would hopefully catch him in the front row sitting near to real celebrities. Cornette and Brian Last talked about how Enzo would go to strip clubs and try to big time the dancers that he was famous and nobody knew who he was. Even though it was proven he was falsely accused of SA, he still should've been arrested for that rap album he put out. There's something criminal about 35 year old man grabbing his junk and flipping the middle finger (always with the thumb out i.e. Eminem) while talking about how few fvckz he gives, while he clearly gives oh so many fvckz what people think of him...

It's funny how everyone thinks "when this guy leaves WWE, he's gonna make it big on the indies" after every firing in the WWE. Well, where is Simon Gotch now? Look at Nzo and Caz; sure Caz has some personal demons he needs to overcome, but they made names for themselves outside WWE. I think that within the next 5 years, provided Caz can get himself in a good place, we're gonna see The Free Agents take on the G.O.D. or The Briscoes. Hope Gotch finds what he's looking for in life, because wrestling fame isn't it.

Enzo was an annoying little puss who thought he was a bigger deal than he really was. He was popular for a time but he was essentially a one-hit wonder. Sure he may have been unique and original, good on the mic but he cared more about his image and his larger than life persona than actually wanting to perform in the ring. People in the business will tell you're either in it or your not. There's no off season, these guys are on the road all year long if you're not gonna be committed to the company, hell the industry itself, what are you even doing there? Just sitting around wasting space and wasting people's time and money. Go back and watch the segment between Miz and Enzo. To me that felt more like Michael Mizanin talking to Eric Arndt. Yeah Enzo had potential and talent but he didn't give a shit. He cared more about his image and hanging out with 3rd rate rappers than being in the ring. I'm glad he's gone. They didn't need him. He was not essential to the success of the company. WWE didn't gain or benefit anything by having him on the roster. Good riddance to him.
