Sadly, I doubt he will play any major role, maybe a cameo but he is no longer essential to the plot. And with all the cast in hawkins, it makes no sense for him to go with Hopper. Most likely a cameo

The sequences here is directed wonderfully: watching Hopper and Enzo getting beaten and arrested and Joyce and Murray being drygged by (at this time) this scoudrel of Yuri took my breath away. It was like the fate of fours were linked from that moment on.

I must admit that I never hated a character so much as i hated Yuri here🤬. And please, don't go and tell me that he had family to care for: so did Enzo, but still he didn't sell off four lives and even though in prison, he still wanted to save himself AND Hopper as well. I bet Yuri in his place and that time wouldn't.
