I'll never forget watching this movie in theaters. I remember being so nervous seeing this movie in theaters. The reason why is because my dad, my sister, and I saw this movie the day after the horrible tragedy that happened in Colorado. My dad, sister, and I went to our local cinema for the 11:00 AM showing of The Dark Knight Rises and the whole theater from the auditorium to where they were playing the movie to the concession stands where people got snacks was full of people to see The Dark Knight Rises. On top of that, the whole parking lot was surrounded with police cars. I just remember everybody in line talking about what happened in Colorado. Everyone in line had this look on their faces like they were scared. Whenever someone had to go to the bathroom or get snacks, they would go with whoever they came along with. Also, whenever the auditorium door opened (it was closed during the movie), people would turn their heads to make sure it wasn't anything suspicious. It was a very tense experience and everyone felt the same way.

23:07 It's a common stance for people who wear the armor Bane does. I had two deployments in four years before I saw this movie. The way Bane moved and stood is exactly how we did with fifty pounds of body armor. Even some of his fighting made sense to me. People joke about Goku wearing weighted training clothes. It's not a joke, and adding 30-50 pounds to yourself to move around in will massively increase your cardio and strength training. Don't throw a dumbbell on your back, instead add 5-10 pounds on each body part and don't remove it. You'll burn a ridiculous amount of calories, and add a ton of muscle.

It's not mentioned in the movie what happened to Joker, though the novelization of the movie does suggest where he is. "Now that the Dent Act had made it all but impossible for the city’s criminals to cop an insanity plea, it (Blackgate Prison) had replaced Arkham Asylum as a preferred location for imprisoning both convicted and suspected felons. The worst of the worst were sent here, except for the Joker, who, rumor had it, was locked away as Arkham’s sole remaining inmate. Or perhaps he had escaped. Nobody was really sure. Not even Selina." (Nolan chose not to mention or address Joker out of respect for Heath Ledger, and didn't want to make any false spectacle over the real-life tragic passing.)
@KindredKeepsake14 күн бұрын
That's actually a pretty unsettling story! Especially with the thought of the Joker laughing, all alone in a padded cell. *Alone in the entire asylum, at that...* That's probably the worst punishment for a guy like him. No audience around.

I was recovering from massive shoulder surgery at the time, bored out of my skull at home in an immobilizer, so I would walk to the theatre 3 times a week just to get out of the house. This was the only film playing that I had the least interest in, so I watched it again and again and again. Okay, Anne Hathaway's Catwoman had A LOTto do with it as well. I grew up with the original Julie Newmar Catwoman, who jump started my puberty , but Hathaway's Catwoman is the best of them all (Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Lee Merriwether, Michelle Pfieffer, and Zoë Karvitz. We DO NOT speak of Halle Berry.)!
