African-American spirituals usually reach down in my soul and touch me. African-Americans seem to be blessed with a natural, God-given talent of spiritual singing. 2022 here listening to God's got it all in control. He just delivered me from 90 percent blockage on my heart. I'm still relatively a young man, raised in the church but ran the streets hard. I've always loved Joe Ligon and the Mighty Clouds of Joy. I grew up trying to sing their songs. Went to see them every time they came to the Apollo Theater in New York City. Joe will surely be missed. There is no other like him. Hope to hear him sing again around the throne of God in the morning when Jesus comes to gather His children together.
