whoa! so cool, to learn/consider about ACTIVE Carbon (as opposed to inactive and slow-metabolizing forms) and measuring this value (26:30) i mean, some can understand how healthy soil is just by smell or other (needs of) less-lively scientific measures (including the basic principles to improve soil health without unnecessary tests ~ 46 min) as shown here, but for validating or even maybe actually improving misperceptions that can sometimes occur, such larger-than-life scientific efforts can help. i think the key/challenge is to find the right balance between focus/sophistication/specialization and the most holistic, bigpicture understanding (again, like those basic principles at ~ 46 min.)
