Why are we asking leadership questions to a 22 year old ? Let's let this guy just worry about playing basketball and the better he becomes as a player the better leader he can be . He has never had to lead before and if he did it was on the floor the lead ..

Say your impatient. Winning now isn't a must. The idea is to build towards eventually competing & winning. Making sure Raptors are there for the long run & not a 1-2 season thing. Raptors aren't trying to do a Chicago Bulls with older All-stars Demar/Vuc surrounding there younger star (Zac Lavine). The team isn't ready to win soon & aren't trying to rush & become a car crash like the Bulls have been. Raptors would rather look at OKC & how they built around SGA which took time. It took till this season for SGA to have a roster good enough to be near the top of the west. SGA had to sit out late during tanking seasons, eventually they acquired the top tier got draft talents, filling out the starting 5 + the bench. The draft is a shortcut back to the top. If Raptors nail there picks & luck into an All-star or higher calibre talent then there. Scottie, RJ, IQ, Gradey, Ochai is not bad foundation to build on. Especially when 1 or 2 hits on lottery picks can elevate the roster to another level. OKC only had Shai when they started there rebuild in his 3rd NBA season & 2nd season on OKC after they traded CP3. Remember SGA was in playoff his first 2 seasons with Clippers & then as a 5th seed in West with OKC next to CP3. SGA was then in a tanking situation the next 3 seasons. It was only last season when they stopped tanking when they were a play-in team. They still had a top 10 lottery pick just in the last draft. SGA is 25 now, this season being the first season among the top seed in the West & even then OKC aren't proven contenders yet. They have 2 other All-NBA calibre stars in Chet + Jalen Williams next to SGA. Scottie is 22. Jalen Williams is older then Scottie, Williams was a lottery pick from 2023 draft. Jalen Williams is 23, so same age as RJ Barrett. Chet is similar age to Scottie. So the timeline for the Raptors should be preparing the roster, acquiring talent before Scottie is closer to his prime in & around age 25. Raptors can't acquire elite talent unless they hit on there draft picks.

@@MRBp2024 Yeah let's just wait around 5 years or until Scottie becomes a UFA and decides to go home to Florida because management won't get him any help. Great plan.
@godfreyjohnmaranon7053Ай бұрын
@@Logan69420agree..should be step by step..playoffs will be an achievement for this team next gear..with all the pieces like rj kelly and iq added,a summer training i think will be enough for them to create chemistry..but to think 2 years or more is not what masai wanted..enough for a worst season,and that is this season..

Scottie Barnes, Bright future and amongst the top 10 greatest of all-time. Ochai the David Robinson of the Raptors if he chooses to keep going. RJ & IQ, Batman & Robin. Poeltl & Ollie the twin towers in a different shade of white and ready to fight and rebound as they have. Gravey Dick, just simmering and in the corner lashing some three's, kid your game has improved and is only gonna get better. Trent Jr. the dude that I've always had faith in, no matter is ups and downs, why? cause the soldier is always bringing the effort. Koloko? didn't see him this year but what I saw was drive and dedication. The rest that I have not mentioned are all pieces that make up the Toronto Raptors are not not ever to be overlooked, cause it is the team effort that "Wins" games. When you respect each other, when you help each other up and get up again and again, is when one day the effort will be evident to how you've all grown through your effort(s) for the the portrait of the picture you want & wish to paint in Toronto Raptors colors. Let's Go Raptors Let's Go!!! Every practice shot counts no matter what you say or think, why? cause you learn how you feel when your rested and you know what effort it takes when your exhaust after multiple competitors. Some road trips are 5-6 games within 10-12 days. There are some many variables that at a young age you just might not realize or be aware of. But remember that the greats seldomly won championships in there first 3-5 years in the NBA, unless surrounded by an all-star squad. Big Ups, Keep tha Grind On & stay healthy & strong.
