We actually are pretty blessed in the US to be able to register cars to basically any address and getting a license, registration, title transfer is pretty easy compared to places like japan. It’s awesome that Japan has such cool car culture despite all the obstacles

The little aero pieces on the underbody are referred to as a "Nolder"... It's usually used off the back of a larger piece of aero to reduce drag at lower speeds.. but I can't see it having any effect where it's placed on your beasty... Typically you want to remove airflow from under the car, by means of a front splitter. Then seal the cavities of the underbody, before creating a negative pressure area that increases in volume until after the rear bar. So that it doesn't create a vacuum on any of the vehicles vertical geometry... Done properly you can effectively double the downforce.. FUK up the balance between overbody and underbody aero and you will create an effective aerofoil, which once generating enough lift will literally turn your ground machine into an aircraft... I.e: the famous Merc lemans silver Arrow.. or that poor FD RX7 on the salt flats, back in the late 90's... Anyway.. luv the content bruv.. keep bringing us closer to the dream..

I use to do user Shaken in Japan for years, saved so much money not having to have a shop do it for you with the mark up. Easy once you work out what the lads at the Shaken jyou are looking to defect you on and the paper work, you'll never look back.

Looks like the previous owner painted over the surface rust on the suspension arms and chassis, you can see the bubbles and those areas are common for rust. but still a clean car

I don’t know if you know, you need to stay in the throttle going around corners in fwd because all your grip is in the front. I learned the hard way- spun my k20 swapped eg on a hard turn when I first built it because i let off (from rwd chassis’) good luck stay safe love the content.

swapping to K makes the front much more heavier in the front. It feels like a different car. Kseries for straight lines. B series for racing lines. Swapping to B keeps all the driving characteristics as if it were still a single cam

Yes and no. If you break traction with a FWD in a corner, you'll under steer and go straight. A little yank of the parking brake will bring the rear around and then you can continue around the corner. Practice that in a location with plenty of run off as you increase your speed.

Done my fair share of spinouts on the track in my 92 gsr. I learned quick throttle is what keeps you where your going. Go off throttle and you lose all control very fast. I like to call going from 60 to 360 real quick!

Pretty much any performance car, if you're hard in a corner, near the limit of the tires, letting off the gas will make the back end some around. It's because letting off the gas transfers weight forward so the rear wheels get lite. There's even a term for it "lift throttle oversteer". Never let go of the gas. If bad things start to happen, you need to feather the gas. Keep on it mostly but let off slowly. Other wise you'll be in a violent spin.

The S3 is about 46-50k USD depending on how you have it configured. They have a 5 cylinder engine and 7 speed dual clutch transmission. I have the little brother A3 and that dual clutch is fun. They're zippy little cars, make good commuters.

Those Prius years that you liked have a problem with rods exiting the engine’s unfortunately. Big issue on that generation. The Audi s3’s rip too with just an ecu tune but it’s all about the rs3 which you would fall in love with.
