This was such a heartwarming video 🥹 I can only hope one day that my relationship with my mom can be open and honest like this but the chances are slim. Either way, I have accepted that I am my own person and I have to move on with my own life for my own sake. I hope that anyone struggling with similar issues can find it in their own heart to love themselves as well. You are deserving of love 💖

What a beautiful... openhearted conversation...😢 Beautiful how the both of you did your path to finally understand and love each other... It made me cry a bit cause...I wish my dad would be able to do the same... To move forwards me... To speak to me... But when I became Ill... He totally rejected me...and each time I try to speak with him he is just in that rejecting mode... So we only keep our discussions as polite mode....and it hurts me soooo much...cause I can see the way he is with my sister...my brother...my mom...and I wish I could have that kind of relationship with him too...

So sorry to hear about your situation. Must be tough :( Perhaps there are some things that's been left unsaid that both of you might not know how to bring up yet. But I hope this brought you some hope that restoration with him is possible too 🫂

I was eagerly waiting for this one Shawn. I personally resonate with your experience cause I share some estranged relationship with my father and no matter how much I try it goes back to zero. He says alot of things that hurt me and I have no choice but to stay silent cause in our culture we don't talk back with our parents so there isn't really improvement. Loved the way you two communicated with each other and worked on your relationship. It healed some part of me

Great video! Though it's more organic to see the two interviewees communicate with each other rather than to the interviewer
