Thanks for raising the question. Please note that 1. if you drag a video to the Overlay Track, the audio is muted automatically. 2. if you drag a video to the Audio Track, the audio is separated automatically Therefore, simply drag the same video file to both the Overlay Track and the Audio Track, you can edit the video and audio individually and flexibly.

You can try setting the Playback Priority to Audio and enable hardware acceleration for video decoding in Settings.

can you make the audio cross-fade with the image? When I do a dissolve the sound just seems to be a straight cut.

The Dissolve transtion is applied to the video/image only. If you want to apply audio effect, please detach the audio first -> select the audio on the audio track -> enter the Audio Editor (below the Preview window) -> find Effects and try the filters. Yes! What you need to do is drag the edges of the fade in/out transition clip, and the speed will be changed based on the length of that transition.

How do I have a dissolve without the second clip remaining just a frozen image of its first frame for the duration of the dissolve?

Would you please try this method? Add the transition to the timeline -> find Properties (right beside the Preview window) ->select Repeat Frame.

I used "Credit 5" over a still to end a video. First, I couldn't put it in on the subtitle track, so it is an overlay. When I want the whole project to fade to black, the "Credit 5" remains visible. Can't apply the fade to black transition to the Overlay video. Also, can't change the duration of "Credit 5". It is stuck at 5-seconds. Subtitles: I chose a static subtitle and its screen space is limited to about 60% width on the screen. When I try to increase the point size of the type, when the line reaches the 60% width - it wraps! Two lines of text then are forced to be three. Couldn't figure out how to export my 4k master project to HD or less. Overall the program is pretty cool.

Would you please try the method below to make your whole project fade to black: 1. Drag "Credit 5" to the end of the Video Track. 2. Drag Fade in Transitions to the end of “Credit 5”. Sorry, we cannot change the duration of credits at the moment. Please note only a .srt, .ass, .ssa subtitle file or a Text can be added to the subtitle track, however, please note only Text is editable. To export the 4K project to HD, you need to change the resolution first. It's located next to the Export button.

I use the fade transition yesterday is good. But today it takes time and the video is not smoothing. Look like the two clips need stop one or two seconds and can't use it in the video. Anybody have same problem?

timeline management :- provide more control on timeline like ....manage timeline height ... adjusting each and every timelines seperately .....this can be helpful while editing in multiple tracks at a time.. . Advance chroma key :- changing background of a complecated object can't be done by a simple croma key option ...for better croma key effect we need some more control and options like ..edge smoothning option slope, thin etc .. ...in this Current version croma key works fine in green screen but in other colours like black it doesn't work perfectly... so please improve croma key option..
