Just a few more for this series! Probably 2 more videos, but if I’m lucky I might be able to make a 3rd or 4th. I’ll know as I get further along into editing the final videos!

How does trips like these work? are you able to bring the fish back home? how much did this trip cost in total?
@Dirty.Hookers11 ай бұрын
This year Cedros is $3,300 for 6 days, all inclusive. At least at Cedros Sportfishing. Not sure how much or what’s included with the other outfits on the island, as I’ve only fished with Cedros Sportfishing. It includes airfare to and back from the island, your stay at the lodge, 3 meals a day, all non alcoholic beverages, fishing each day, and fish processing and flown back with you. Just bring extra cash for Tips, souvenirs, and a case or 2 of beer or tequila. All of us in our group, fish 10 ft rods, so no limit length there. Each passenger is allowed 75 lbs (this includes Reels, tackle, and all luggage, and fish going home with you). So the lighter you pack, the more fish you can take home.

Really enjoy your Cedros videos. I was there with a group in mid-July and had the pleasure to fish on Javier’s pongo; great times!

I really appreciate that, thank you! Wonder if you went the tip after me, lol I was there July 7 - 12. That’s when these videos in this series took place.

I think this fish around 35:58 is close or at the 30 lb mark I caught on the surface iron at Cedros! A fun struggle 😅kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYnannWcaMhnr5osi=sHJybLvX2V0AI1OK This one at 14:35 mark was just under 28 lbs kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYGTen-cgcmMmrssi=jmby8YiMA2Gb7Q0L

I was wondering if you had your poles checked in on the flight. How do I get my 9ft+ poles on a plane.
@crowman5936 Жыл бұрын
Each of us has their poles wrapped in a bundle then we all load up in the plane in our seats. Then the ground crew hands each bundle to us and we put them all stacked on the isle floor. When we land we all hand the pole to the ground crew and they load them in a truck to the resort.

@@crowman5936 couldn’t had said it better myself! I know cedros sportfishing doesn’t have max length for rods that I know of. My whole group brings our 10ft rods. I would assume other outfits would allow the same.

Great video as always! Glad you guys got ‘em with the surface iron that first day. I also had success deeper & couldn’t raise them on top water. Love the “knot-so-iron” comment lol
@Dirty.Hookers Жыл бұрын
Thanks Tyler! It was tough, but we did manage to stick acouple. Tons of fish, just not active. Haha the not-so-surface iron get them!

Love the Cedros videos man! What reel clamp do you use on your trinidad?
@Dirty.Hookers Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate that, thank you! I’ve been using the steelbaits reel clamp the last 2+ years, and I can honestly say it’s the most comfortable reel clamp I’ve ever used! Alittle tough to put on at first, but doesn’t need to tighten down as much as other clamps because there’s 4 points of contact instead of 2, which I really like!
