Not sure if you've left for Durban yet ,but whatever you do, don't go to the Durban CBD. There's currently an on going municipal strike for higher wages. The trash hasn't been collected for weeks and its just chaos everywhere. For your safety, Keep to the Mhlanga ,Ballito , Zimbali area .

Comparing food is always going to be a huge disappointment especially when you settle in a new country. For years I could not stand food in the USA as I was trying to compare it to the food in South Africa. I had to slowly adjust my attitude and accept that food prep including seasoning and ingredients are combined according to taste buds of the population of that specific geographical region.

Yeah it wasn’t as much as a comparison as that Chiapas is actually nasty lol. Very bland and the food doesn’t taste fresh. But it’s identical to Chipotle which was interesting. It’s not disappointing because I thought it would be Chipotle, it’s disappointing because it just wasn’t good at all. Which I’m not used to since being here, most of the food I have is pretty good.

For lips, DCT by Blistex is undefeated. You can find it at Woolworths or any decent chemist. Everything else feels like grease on your my lips.

I’m glad you like it ! Literally since the second week we had it, it was a such a pain. Mm personally I liked staying in Douglasdale, but if you like city vibes Sandton city is really nice. Bryanston is also an area I like

​@TayllorChanise Papachinos has far better food than Spur, and it's really child friendly. For me the best chain Steak restaurants (small chains) are Turn n Tender and Moo Moo (especially at Pineslopes).

I think you will always be disappointed if you try compare SA to USA. Not the same country, people or ingredients in food nor do they try compete for the same things. Just take SA for what it is

@@TayllorChanise I’ve lived in other countries and I used to compare for e.g Korean pasta to Italian pasta and would be dissatisfied. Korean pasta tastes like ketchup and garlic lol. But I took it for what it was: It’s their interpretation of the dish in Korean flavours. Mexicans never came over to SA 😅. But if you’re looking for a Mexican restaurant run by a Mexican family, there is Fireworks Tacos in Parkmore. Orinoco is also good. Those are the only ones I eat at. The rest are interpretive Mexican 😂

@@annabambamjerky now that’s where I’ll have to go to get the kind of Mexican food I’m used to, thanks for that info. But yeah, it’s an interpretation however I’m judging based solely off of the taste. No other factors play a role like it being authentic, or a fusion. So yeah I still stick to it being not good lol it was extremely bland and the ingredients were not fresh which is why I related to a place that was similar in quality that’s back in the States (Uberrito).

Urban areas yes, we have rural areas which some developed while others are not so much.

Ultra Urban, Urban, Peri Urban (hoods /Townships), Slums and Rural areas. Even the US has rural areas, their inhabitants tend to be White tough and they refer to it as the country side. Rural does not mean underdeveloped as long as the amenities are there i.e.electricity, water, internet connectivity and decent roads

On the part of pictures, it's a side hustle so as you may know our unemployment rate is very high so the guys are trying to make a little something for themselves then send it to you then they delete them. I know one needs a consent of the person they capture but they just wanna capture you unexpectedly, no pose, just natural, maybe you and your bae appear holding hands having a laughter they mostly capture those. No offense intended
