Another great video for sure. Your videos are documentary perfect. I think eventually you will be asked to do a TV show........... good luck. A new PBS show starts this fall called THE RVER's.

Super sweet camping spot! Enjoyed your tour of the Natural Bridges monument and very informative. My wife and I love the scenic beauty of your videos and the information that comes along with them. I heard about the living organisms on the surface down in Sedona. It reminds me of instruction I received when I was up in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. They warned us about not stepping on the permafrost. Thanks for a great video!

Hi Marc...thank you for guiding me towards this video. This looks like an awesome spot!! Yes...you are correct; it'd be an easy loop to leave Ouray, thru the Paradox Valley to Monticello, then down to this Bears Ears Monument, and then loop over to check out Valley of the Gods. But....as you know, it is like Lays Potato Chips.....you can just stop at 2 locations in UT!! Safe travels!

Thank you for this video. I had never heard of these parks. I'm always looking for new places to explore on what has turned into our yearly pilgrimage to the North Rim.
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Don't recall seeing your name around here before, so welcome, too. Bears Ears would be a wonderful stop as it's not too distant from the North Rim. While you're in the neighborhood, consider boondocking in Valley of the Gods (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6a8XnmMbseAnZo sorry for the production values, it's one of our first videos) and camping at Lone Rock Beach on Lake Powell (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHjPk4yBqKlqrsU - same excuse). There's also Goosenecks State Park near Valley of the Gods & Mexican Hat, and Kanab (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHezn2iNoJdogqM) is a funky little desert town where you can visit Best Friends while you're there. Have a great trip this year!

@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
Thank you G&Z! Are boondocking sites hard to come by in the UK? Here in the US it's slim pickings on the East Coast, as most of our public land is out west: nationalmap.gov/small_scale/printable/images/pdf/fedlands/fedlands3.pdf

Wow, I love your videos. I keep noticing some spots on your videos. Have you thought of having your camera sensor cleaned? I have seen some videos on cleaning then on utube using a lens pen.
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
This one (and the next one) had a bad smudge behind the UV filter that we hadn't noticed while filming -- so sorry! We were deeply disappointed ourselves to see it when we offloaded the footage. The sensor, though, is immaculate.

Mark ~ you’ve done it again! Fabulous narration of this great vacation spot! Excellent B Roll and history! Question: generally how long is your stay at each location? I know it will vary but on average, how long do you “pitch your tent?”
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Jim! We typically get antsy along about day 3. We tend to stay much shorter than most, especially because we want to share as much as possible each time we roll out of the driveway.

How long is your trailer front to back. Is it a good length for the locations you go to. Do you have limitations due to the size or not? Thanks again!
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
Sam, we're 25'11" tip to tail, from the hitch front to the rear bumper. The "box" is 23' long, and it's 15' wide with both slides bumped out as the slides oppose one another. We've found no issues at all with size, aside from small, older Forest Service campgrounds where we have to park side-by-side with the trailer as we're 51' overall when hitched.

As usual, information is incomplete. a permit is where?
@GrandAdventure5 жыл бұрын
True, you need to obtain a $2 hiking permit available at a ranger station or major trailhead. We mentioned that in the video. There are no permits required for overnight camping.
