There was violence against Drake camp. People keep forgetting his body guard was shot a few days after the release of not like us. Agreed. I don't understand people who say No Way Out is not a classic. In hindsight, I know there's backlash against the "shiny suit era," which No Way Out helped usher in. However, if we reexamine it, strictly from a music standpoint, the shiny suit era actually wasn't that bad. No Way Out, Harlem World and Life After Death are the holy trinity of the shiny suit era. All 3 are classics imo.

People really refuse to accept the truth about Em. The few Black people that listened to aEm during SSLP got clowned. He gained a little respect for Stan, but black people didn't really start bumping him until 8 Mole and he apologized to his mother with Cleaning Out My Closet. Then his music went downhill and black folk stopped listening to him again. You can find battle rap fans and some rappers who listen to him for technical skill, but even they don't really bump his music. There's a reason J Cole basically said Em was his favorite rapper, but he outgrew him. We don't vibe with his lyrics and production usually.
