How to Visit the Rawdah? The Nusuk App booking, complete process, latest updates 2023. Here’s some practical tips which should be useful when you travel for Hajj or Umrah.

Salam All, Iv just come back from Umrah Alhumdulillah. I was very fortunate to get in the rawda as well AH. I wanted to share the little research I did. I monitored the app for a few weeks before we wanted to book. The pattern that I found was that the Saudis ( on one of the weeks) opened up the slots on the app at Fri 12 at night Saudi time and another week I saw places opening on a Saturday. This is for the ladies slot. They are 30 min slots. Beware the places as they open getbookedk within a couple days. The week before we went we tried to keep looking every hour after Fri 12 pm so we can get a place booked. We managed to secure a slot on a Sat around 1pm U.K. time. Also, we had to go about 30 mins before our time slot because of the massive queue and crowd. Many of the ladies don't even have a booking and they are still trying to get in. They are very vigilant at checking the flashing light on your app so do make sure you have Internet connection or they won't let you in. Hope this helps. This is only my experience Allah knows best.

Salaam. No, they are not checking the everyone’s Umrah permits right now. However, the policies and practices by the Saudi authorities can change at any time. So, it is better to be prepared. Also, I have seen them stop some people (perhaps randomly). So, I would suggest have the permit ready, just in case.

Salaam. No, your date and time will be mentioned specifically in your permit.

The slots are often released one week at a time. So, you will have to wait for the slots to become available.

If you have not booked through the app recently, you should be able to book.

Is Nusuk App required for kids also for umrah, if so what age?

For Umrah, they don’t usually check the app anymore (in Makkah). So, most people go in without checking. However, it is still possible to get Umrah permits whether they check or not. It is possible to get Umrah permit for children. They don’t need a separate phone. On your phone, you can log out and create another account for your child. I’m not sure from what age.

You can check the app to see if there’s any availability. If not, the next best thing is to walk through door 1. You can say your Salam but will not be able to pray in the Rawdah.

Dear Concerned, I am a Canadian citizen, willing to perform the Umrah in the last week of June. My wife and 2 kids will accompany me for the Umrah. We have already obtained our tourist e-visas online and at the moment we are planning our trip. I got to know that we need to get the Umrah permit on the NUSUK app to perform Umrah. I have downloaded the NUSUK app and registered my account. However, when I accessed the app I found that there is no available dates for June or July. Due to my personal circumstances, the only available time for me to visit KSA is the end of June (after the Hajj season ends). Please let me know how I can get an Umrah permit for the last week of June? Some people also told me that I don't need a permit with a tourist e-visa. Is that correct? Perhaps you are checking for Umrah slots in the Hajj season? That could be a reason why you cannot find any.

Bro you only explained how to book it but didn't explain where to go for this ritual, where it starts, where it ends. You say show them. Who are them? Where are them etc. Basically you explained the app bit well but didn't explainhow the ritual is performed

@J Khan, please watch episode 10 and 12. You will find the answers to some of your questions. “Show them” means “show your permit to the guards”. I thought that was understood from the context. As for the rituals, my focus was on telling people how to get to the Rawdah. What to do in there, is a different question altogether. Generally speaking, you pray 2 rakat in the Rawdah and say Salam to Rasulullah (SAW) and his companions (R).

Salaam. They don’t open up the slots too early anyway, so you can only book a slot after it becomes available. It is unrelated to your travel date. It has to do with availability.

Visiting Masjid Quba and praying there is encouraged. Other than that you can visit Masjid Qiblatayn, Mount Uhud etc.

@ Saadiah, Walaikum Salam. Men’s and women’s slots can change over time. The slots my wife and I found during our last visit may have changed by now. So, I would suggest you check the app for the latest update. With regard to the brief visit via door 1 (men only) I have found it open before Fajr and after Isha. It is also open at other times during the day.

@@LifeMoves baraqallahfikum brother, your answer does help alot, as my husband and I will travel there early next month 10th, Aug In Shaa Allah been checking the Nusuk few times everyday, but it's still grey although umrah permit coloured stop at 10 but I want 11, the rawdah is still grey, very frustrating system, if i miss it, that's it, we won't be able to visit the Rawdah. Salaam, Yes, you can book before you arrive. As far as I know, children are not allowed but I’m not 100% sure.

If you have visited before and already have an account on the app, you may be able to book without a new visa number. But You do need a visa number to create an account for the first time.
