Rex seems like such an awesome dude. My favorite concert was seeing Pantera on the RTS tour in Peoria IL with my best friend back in high school. Will always be burned into my memory as we came back to a flat tire in the parking garage! Totally worth it 🤣 Thanks for the memories Rex! Love the show fellas 🤘

His book is really good. I'm really glad I got to see Pantera twice. Great Southern Trend Kill Tour And again when they toured the 101 proof. The 101 proof was for me the best show only because it was in NYC Roseland Ball Room that's a great place to see a show it just a big floor 1st time was in NJ in a big stadium we were way up in the seats.

Awesome interview with a great dude. There's only a handful of bands that blow your mind with a unique sound, and Pantera was a special one for me.

Guitar player that plays bass once in a while here, I've used a spectre and an ampeg it work's. I play guitar way more and don't have bass gear but at a time I was able to borrow a spector from one friend and plugged into an svt that a guy had in another band. I went to see the band with the guy that had the ampeg svt a couple months later and he switched from his fender precision bass(I think but it was definitely top of the line) to a couple of spectors. It was a great bass tone/sound when it comes to bass im all about spector it was also comfortable as hell perfect for the way I like to play.

The current Classic Vibe bass pickups are great, hardware more than serviceable, and if you run the racks you'll find one when dressed frets with their ends filed. Cortek Indonesia isn't f'ing around.

I saw Pantera 3 times. The best show was was in DC at the capital ballroom. It was on the great Southern Trend Kill tour. That show was insane! They were so fucking good it was unbelieved! They gave 200% I remember my brother was crowd surfing the whole time and I wound up getting 2 of Dimebag's pics. Neurosis opened and Biohazard was the 2nd band. Fucking Crazy!

I'm with Rex. Old-school approach with the rig is the best. This new digital way....SUCKS!! I dont care what anybody says. Digital equals bad sound for metal as far as I'm concerned. This new digital interface way might be good for Pop & Rap; but not metal. Period! Just put some cabs on the stage with your amp. Get some monitors and mic it all up. Period! Screw that "cab off the stage" crap with a in-,ear monitor. I couldn't deal with it.
