Dilip Buwa lived in Kurla which is adjacent to Tilaknagar. Buwa and Rajan knew each other since their teenage years. Buwa worked for Ashok Joshi gang in early 80's as he had connections to that gang through some friends and he quickly became very loyal to Joshi and became his trusted aide. Rajan wasn't a big enough gangster to run his own gang at the time. He worked for Rajan Nair gang. Later Rajan and buwa, who already knew each other since their teenage years, collaborated in various crimes since their bosses were partnered with each other. When Ashok Joshi was told about Buwa's misbehaviour, he slapped him and told him to leave Kanjur forever but didn't remove him from the gang since Joshi had known him for many years. He just wanted to reprimand him so he asked Rama Naik to employ him, this way, he would be out of Kanjur but will still be in their larger gang. Buwa supposedly took it very personally and felt humiliated and it didn't sit right with him and so when Rama Naik gang split from Dawood gang, Rajan asked Buwa to deal with him which Buwa readily accepted. He would have played a major part in Ashok Joshi's killing too but people in Joshi's gang already had started to doubt Buwa so Rajan kept him out of that plan but Buwa knew about the plan and his close friend Matya was also involved in that plan and Matya was a major player in the plan. After that, he officially joined Rajan's gang. When the shootout happened, Rajan was only concerned about him because he was his friend since their teenage years and Buwa was a senior member of his gang who carried out many key assignments for him. Rajan didn't have a personal relationship with Maya so Rajan didn't care about his well-being as much as he would for that of his friend.

Sir Ji नमस्कार दिलीप बुआ के बारेमे एक महत्व पुर्ण एक किस्सा बता रहा हुं कांजूर मार्ग के अशोक भाई जोशी की हत्या मे दिलीप बुआ शमील था अशोक भाई जोशी की हत्या के बाद छोटा राजन समेत सभी शूटर आपनी जान बाचाने के लिये दाऊद के पास दुबई भाग गये ऊस वक्त दिलीप बुआ जेल चला गया उसी काल मे थाना जेल में अशोक भाई जोशी के खुंकार शूटर योगेश पराडकर परड्या, नामदेव पाटील, विनू बावा, पांडुरंग मढवी pandya सुधीर सुर्वे यह सभी खुकार शूटर भाइयोने दिलीप बुआ का काम तमाम करणे के लिये ठाना जेल की 15 फिट की दीवार फांद के d compani के बरेक मे कुड के दिलीप बुआ पर जान लेवा हमला किया था ऊस वक्त दिलीप बुआ जेल में मरते मरते बच गया बाद में paradya सनेत सभी भाई एक महिना अंडा बारेक मे बंद थे इसिका बदला लेने के लिये बुआ, माया डोळस के साथ कांजूर गाव मे घुस के भरी बाजार मे ak 47 चालायी थी उसमे बिचारे आठ आम आदमी मारे गये थे
