WHERE MY MOMS AT!? It's the show by the Moms for the Moms. Hosted by everybody's favorite "cool mom" Christina P! Not only the most REAL show for moms, but the most interactive. An open place to admit no one really knows what they're doing.
On today's episode, LeeAnn Kreischer (Varsity Mom and Host of the "Wife Of The Party" podcast) returns to the show to give Christina more insight into having teenagers. Discussions about sex talks, bra shopping and periods are had as LeeAnn has been in the throws of these issues with her two girls. The two review some Mom Fails and also discuss there "wife-ly duties" to their husbands.
Christina P. wants to hear from you since she is seriously lacking in cool mom friends. If you want to share a "Mom Fail" please call into our voicemail (213)375-5184 and let Christina know! We want to talk to as many moms across America as we can.

LeeAnn Kreischer and Hila Klein should be regular guests of yours, depending on their comfort and schedules. If you haven't thought of it already, you might wanna consider having LeeAnn's friend Rumbley on when she's in the area, if it can fit into both of your schedule's. I want more of that wonderful human and her brand of honesty and down-to-earth words.

My mom and I read The Care and Keeping of You together and I cannot agree more with LeeAnn. It was the most helpful thing I could have read as a preteen girl. It has helpful diagrams and illustrations for absolutely everything you could wonder about and need to know. Mommies and dads of daughters, please buy this book for them and let them read it or read it with them if they feel comfortable with that.

I got so excited when LeeAnn brought up The Care & Keeping of You by American Girl. That book was like the bible for me growing up. I loved all the American Girl books and things growing up, but this one was so helpful and informative. I remember my mom getting it for me when I was about 9 or 10, letting me read it, and then afterwards just sitting me down and asking me if I had any questions about anything. She also used to read every book that I would read first, so she already had some things she wanted to emphasize or elaborate on and it was just so helpful and the best. The book 100% took the awkward out of everything and made my mom and I's relationship completely open and honest from then on out and I don't think it could have turned out better. PS The Feelings Book - The Care & Keeping of Your Emotions by American Girl is amazing as well and I just highly recommend American Girl books for dealing with all of these issues that inevitably occur with a growing girl.

Hey Christina and Leanne! I’m a soon to be father, our first child, and we are having a girl!!! I just thought I would speak to your comment about men’s aversion to female reproductive biology. I had the same aversion to learning about stuff initially, but it was only if my lady was explaining it, if I looked into stuff myself it was totally fine, and even interesting. However, I think this makes total sense. If men had a secret biological process that was a little messy or gross, that we concealed from the world, e.g. if our testicles fell out each month, along with loads of blood, and we grew new ones ;-) learning about the none sexual functions of my testicles wouldn’t be enjoyable for my female partner to learn about. As it conflicts with the sexualisation of that part. That was the case for me at least. I hope I explained that clearly, I just believe it’s a natural separation that men sometimes want. It’s difficult to view it as a sexual thing, a crazy biological baby maker, and a monthly egg evacuation system. Ladies don’t have this experience, of having to learn complicated biology of the opposite sex organs (internally). So don’t be so quick to judge, it’s weird and hard... anyway, enough about my penis. Love you guys, I love this podcast, it’s so so useful for me. And the female hygiene stuff was invaluable. Much love to Christina, Leanne, Tom, Bert and all the kids. Seconding the American Girl book that LeAnn recommends! My mom gave it to me right before puberty began and I was incredibly prepared for things like my period, how to care for my lady parts, hair growth, etc. It was so nice not having to ask my mom, dad, or older sister questions I was embarrassed about.

I think I may have traumatized a couple of kids when I got my period. I was 12 years old and I had been rollerblading around the neighborhood in light gray shorts. Across the street from our apartment I noticed my neighbors playing. They were brother and sister around ages 7-9, I think. So stopped by to see if their older sibling (around my age) was home. She wasn't there so I hung out a bit with them to wait for her to come back home. I sat down and had my legs spread a little wider than usual due to my rollerblades. The siblings got a bit serious, pointed at me, and said "You're bleeding." So I looked at my legs and arms but didn't see any blood, "No between your legs." Oh shit, I had started my period (not for the first time, it has been a few months by now). So I just lied and nonchalantly as I could I said "Oh? I think I cut myself. It's okay, I'm fine, it doesn't hurt. Don't worry, I'm going to go home. Goodbye." I was so embarrassed, but now thinking back, that could have freaked them out.
