I feel like, ppl think Jun is weird because of the stuff he says and the way he acts. But like Jun said here, he can't express easily or properly what he means in Korean. He even told abt his experience w/ learning w/ Joshua because The8 wasn't there. Look at 2:14. That is why it is hard for him. Yet, he always tries to be direct. He may be a weird little cutie, but he is being raw. He isn't trying to be funny on purpose or act all serious and rigid. He is being himself and showing us directly how he feels. He compares himself to others because he can't be like them. But, that is where Jun stands out because he isn't or doesn't try to be like anyone. He improves himself step by step. He takes in others inputs and knows where his weaknesses are and makes sure to fix them.

I think I really like Jun's ability to compare himself to others but using that comparison as self-improvement rather than self-destruction or pity. It's like he recognizes that everyone has good points and he wants to learn from that. He truly is admirable even beyond his dancing and singing abilities. His personality is beautiful.

People mistake me for having a childish mentality, but people who know me definitely tell me how I care for them and brighten up their day! True friends know how u r and love the way u r. So, I could truly relate to Jun...He might be bubbly and childish but if u hv watched CYZJ, u can see the matured side of Jun. He is extremely selfless, gentle and kind. Personally, I learn a lot from Jun as a human. Here, he proved everyone wrong by showing the real side of him. Even I'm similar to him. My close friends know the real side of me very well, but there r a hell lot of idiotic people who judge me as I'm "childish" according to them. this episode was very important , i think the fandom never gets enough of Jun not even a bit, he's the one i was most curious about, his character was always blurry besides the little goofy moments he gets on cam that definitely does not define him, i guessed the language is an important factor, i speak multiple languages and yet there is only one i can really express myself in authentically and it's frustrating when I'm not around people who can undrestand,so it makes sense how he remains silent a lot or doesn't really say what he wanted to, however he spoke so well here, he's very observant and appreciative of his surroundings, learns cleverly through it, i guess when minghao said Jun has a careless personality it was about how he's direct with people that comes off inconsiderate i think Jun doesn't get easily sensitive about things and that's how he expects other people to be, but he is very mature and conscious that he corrects himself and is always improving, very beautiful, it was mentioned before that he's not comfortable when being filmed, i guess he feels observed so he feels pressured and it gets hard to act freely and authentically and it might comes off awkward or weird, it was very nice to see him more comfortable here and finally we got a piece of the real Jun, this was a great episode!

ok see the main reason why i love “hit the road” is because we get to see a video on everyone’s individual thoughts and who they truly are. and wen junhui isn’t really thought as an “emotional” member as he shows his bubbly and “child-like” personality more in front of the cameras, so i was extremely happy to see him in this series because i truly wanted to know more about junhui and im glad that this series was able to show it, because there is a lot more to junhui than just a good looking face. he’s thoughtful and selfless and just works so hard and im so proud of him and i hope you all can also see it

Jun could talk about his members for hours without taking a break. The other members always struggle and need time to think, but Jun shots out everything in speed-light. Jun admires and idolizes the other so much and he only sees the positive side of them. I wish Jun would know how much I admire him. He is so friggin talented and his personality is pure gold. For those who want to know more about this goofy, talented, and warm-hearted guy, here's a list of facts about him that is SO worth reading (credits to @VaniA & @AY92 from doyouram's video): For Jun's TMI I would like to write something that is not so funny, many carats do not know about this... - His little brother wrote a letter for him a few years ago. Jun is his brother's role model, the boy loves him very much. He wrote about this very hard moment in Jun's life. When he was in high school, he entered a martial arts competition... he was so hard on himself, that in a performance he fell and hit his waist on the ground, the sound was very loud, but he continued. He was badly hurt. He kept the pain to himself for a while because he doesn't like to worry other people, but his case was serious. After a period of time, his muscles began to rot. His family contacted many doctors and they were unable to give a diagnosis. Time passed... the bacteria in his muscles affected his bone area... He had Potts disease (spinal tuberculosis). It was very painful and his physique became smaller, but Jun never cried in front of anyone. He was in therapy for months, but continued his studies at the same time. He is cleaning up behind everyone, taking care of his members in so many ways, feeding them, protecting them from things, ALWAYS making sure that no one is left out, leading them to the right spot in games, events & even helps his rivals in games xD all he wants in life is to help. Vernon said that he admires Jun for keeping his worldview so pure & unchanged. - SVT said that Jun likes to collect ALL photos of his members & that it would be very dangerous if he loses his phone. When the MC asked Jun why, he said that these photos are precious to him & he wants to keep every single of them. - He is very empathetic. When a member gets hit (hurt) Jun feels the pain with the person, while everyone else laughs. He is always very worried when someone gets hurt, it written all over his face. this is why I love him. people have only seen the playful side of him but they never really bother to know him or what he has gone through. he may look quiet and acting childish sometimes (it's not a bad thing bcs I have the same personality as him) but he's one of the most mature and understanding people you will ever find. he would always listen to others concern and when he talks he could give you a thousand piece of advice. I don't know if you notice but he's really good with words. from his speech to the things he says about the members, he has not once said anything bad about them. jun also mention that the members always took good care of him and when they notice jun didn't talk much they would tell the members that jun hasn't spoken anything yet and let him talk. another thing about jun is that he's a kind and humble person who always thinks of others more than himself. I still can't stop thinking of that time on cyzj when he volunteers to drop out. at that time, he was one of the top 3 contestants that will be advanced to the final round but unexpectedly he make a decision that no one expected at all to drop out. originally he was supposed to team up with yanan but he left bcs of health reasons. because of that, he felt that it was unfair for him to complete alone in the show without his partner. ever since his debut as an idol, it's his first time singing on stage alone as wen junhui and not represent his group and I guess that really stressed and burdens him somehow. he's the kind of person who keeps his problem to himself bcs he didn't want to worry anyone. I wish some people would take the time to know him and not for his visual only. he has always been a hardworking kid since young until now. you will notice it (if you pay attention to him) from all the behind the scene episode on inside seventeen and some of the making film from his child actor days. I could write a whole paragraph of why I love him but I will stop here for now. + I forgot to mention that he's an animal lover

And yes, what he did in CYZJ will always be unforgettable for me because it really showed a side of him that he never showed in public before but I think more people should know. He may look like someone who always needs people to take care of him - but he’s actually a person who people can lean on for support and strength too because he’s such a strong, reliable person. People are interpreting Jun's comments about himself as insecurity, but I disagree. I think he just has very high standards for himself. As he said, he's a perfectionist. So even when he does well, he's always aiming to do better. Jun has improved so much year by year in terms of stage presence and dancing because he doesn't settle for less than perfect. junnie feels the need to learn from his members because he doesn't like his own voice, doesn't feel like his dancing is up to his own standards and this makes me feel really sad. Many people think that jun is an overconfident/narcissistic person who rubs his good looks in everyone's faces but he's really just insecure about himself. As he's said, he learned to be confident from hoshi, which also means his perceived confidence is really just an act, a facade, to hide behind, to cover up his low self-esteem. Jun's warmth and love is the most precious thing. His pureness is blinding me. Hands down, the most selfless, purest, caring, gentle and thoughtful member and person. He might be carefree, crazy and weird, but he is extremely observant and thoughtful. Just like Hoshi said, he is a tree, a tree that is shining in the dark. He is super loyal, considerate, generous and self-sacrificing . I agree with many Jun stan that it hurts a lot to see these sides of Jun, cause he is too selfless, he gives up so much for others, he steps back and keeps quiet, he lets other shine when it was his right to shine, he puts others first and doesn't care if he gets hurts. He is someone who burns himself to keep the others warm. It hurts. Add to that there were so much injustice happeneing to Jun over the years which were so unbearable, but he didn't show any pain, it didn't set him back. He kept smiling. Sometimes I hate his smile, cause sometimes I can see the pain in his eyes when he smiles. It hurts to see that he doesn't see his own worth. He is such an amazing singer and dancer. For me I like people's directness as long as it doesnt come out rude. I'm pretty direct as well, so sometimes when i might be being serious people laugh and think im funny or make them uncomfortable. But I like to think deeply and question stuff, you know? I know Minghao means well tho and its just a reminder to keep the synergy in the group but I think Jun should still be direct when he feels he should even if i might hurt the members feelings. I hope we have more Jun focused videos in the future. He's overlooked so often, or pushed to the side. In interviews he's always on the edge and since Korean is his second language he doesn't get many chances to speak. honestly he's not wrong tho, as someone who can speak mandarin, when I watched his chinese programs he is indeed much funnier and wittier in his native language. When I first started stanning and did not know him as well, it was like he was a whole other person when i watched his chinese programs (both him n minghao actually). Not to say that he isn't funny in korean, but it's different when its your native language and I think since that's the standard he is comparing with, naturally he will find it a bit lacking when he is expressing himself in korean. of course i still find him hilarious and endearing in either languages XD but i can understand why he says that.

I think one thing we need to understand is that he isn't degrading himself. He just has a very high standard when it comes to performances. He knows that certain things can be improved and certain things need to stay as it is. I really admire how he is able to see himself in a beautiful light whilst seeing his flaws. I think us fans (me included) always has this idea that idols are perfect. For me , its because i love them so much i tend to not see their flaws but they do. They can see what they need to work on. Jun is someone who dosen't want to dissapoint others. He knows that his members helped him out so much and so , he wants to do the best he can. He is filled with so much energy and passion and love for what he does but he doesn't let that cloud his vision. When he said he learns from the members I really felt that because I tend to learn from others too. We can see that he really appreciates his members a lot because he talked about them half the video. Even though he doesn't get that much screen time I feel like when he gets the spotlight he really slays. When he started enumerating the things he liked and learned from the members, I really felt that Junhui is observant and not as carefree as others say. He's thinking of ways to improve himself and as he says, he has a pride that makes him work towards that. I think that's why the members love him. So many things I could say but my point is, Jun is a lovely person and just as he envies some of the members, I also envy his ability to work hard but not get let anything affect him too much. I keep coming back here and keep adoring Jun's personality the most. I realize that all public figure including him don't really show their 100% real personality on cam but one thing that i know for sure is that Jun is a kind and sincere person, he's really gentle and puts another people first before himself. Jun is someone who has rare personality, many people think i'm different from others bcs of my 4D personality so i can relate to him. I always talk bluntly like him but at some point i should handle myself not to talk too bluntly. Jun is someone who is perfectionist, so do i. Jun is someone who doesn't want another people to look down at him, so do i. I can relate to him and i feel like Jun has a lot in his mind, Jun has been suffering a lot bcs he finds it hard to express the way that another ppl can understand. Every time i look at Jun, i fall for him again and again. I hope people can understand him better. And i'm so proud at Seventeen's bond. They really take care of each other so much. They keep improving physically, emotionally, mentally, and in talent aspects. I'm so proud of Jun and the other members. I've been a Carat for 4 years now and when Pledis said they're gonna do this documentary, I was looking forward to Jun's most. He's like Vernon, hard to read, but because he always shows this one side of him (tho we know there are more to it). I'm so thankful for him speaking SO MUCH in this documentary, finally get to know more about his down-to-earth, humble and passionate character. He's already amazing, exploding charisma on stage, and lbr no one dances as hard as him so consistently for YEARS for EVERY STAGE, yet he still finds areas of improvement, and even more so, from people so close to him. I still rmb watching this fancam where Jun was giving his concert closing speech and he almost teared, even the members were shocked, because like the members said, he's never once talked about how difficult and tired he was. It was such a new side to everyone and this shows he actually has so much on his mind, but just isn't one who expresses. His character could come off as quirky to some, but I'm glad he has his members who accept, understand and guide him along. Continue shining Jun!

i think he's really such an amazing person. imagine having a whole career back home but decided to move to a foreign country with language barrier and learning everything from the scratch with zero knowledge in dancing. Since then his dancing skills has keep improving and always slayed his part whenever he was given the center part in svt performance. There is a reason why he was in performance unit. If you watched his moonwalker or wave or limbo performance you will understand why.

As he says, he is not as expressive as DK, Seungkwan or Hoshi, but the members say he is very direct and honest and probably the biggest factor of that irony is the language and the way he is wary of how the people think about him. I really admire the way Jun speaks, so honestly but always with the kindness he has in his heart. He is so humble, the fact that he learns from his members so much shows it. I really like Jun the way he is. Like a weird-like personality I see, but he's just being true to himself. Language is really one of the reason why he can't fully express himself to make others understand him better and in a good way. And I noticed that when he's on a Chinese show with Minghao, he's really talkative there and he looks really comfortable, because he speaks in his first language where he is more comfortable. But I like now that he's being more talkative in speaking korean than before. I really like Jun's personality and I hope he won't change, and I hope others will understand him better now and in the future, cuz we know that he's really improving his Korean.
