From being a television star for eight consecutive years to becoming a Union Cabinet minister, Smriti Irani has come a long way, carving a niche for herself in every field
Currently, she holds the portfolios of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs in PM Modi's cabinet. Smriti is known for not mincing her words when expressing her thoughts. After facing numerous struggles in Mumbai and trying various jobs, she entered the world of pageants, becoming a finalist in Miss India 1998.
She gained fame with the role of 'Tulsi' in the daily soap "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi." In 2003, Smriti joined the BJP, making her mark in politics.
In the latest episode of the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Smriti Irani discusses the Parliament security breach. She alleges that the Opposition is trying to politicize this sensitive matter. My respect for Mrs. Irani after watching this interview has increased to another level. She is one of a few female politician to start from the ground level and go to where she is now. It needs a lot of courage, dedication, spirit, aspiration, and motivation to keep going. Coming from a broken family, to almost getting forcefully married, to getting into a pageant and to working as a cleaning staff. Then becoming a successful actress and the becoming a politician. The journey must be very tough and regressive on her both mentally and physically. Further juggling between her work and life as she described couldn't be any less draining along with the union works. In spite of all of it she persisted, if she didn't want to continue, she had already achieved a lot more than any people could expects. Don't know why on most of the public platform, people are more than often thrashing her. Most of the comments under her video are always condemning her and her work. One thing she said is very true when you cant beat someone then question his/her character, because the society takes it up on themselves to kill them or what they stand for. The fact that people don't acknowledge her journey and her achievements , which in itself is very alarming. She is an Inspiration for every girl from every corner of this country. Because she aspires them to be or do so much more that that the society or her family expects from her. Mrs. Smriti Irani is a role model for many women and true feminist.

Amazing dare devil Interview with Smrithji. Never liked her acting choices of those masala serilas. Yet, realy admired her after she has been a fighting politician.
