The amount of things you can do with the EP-133 that aren't listed anywhere on the TE site or in the manual is... kind of mind-boggling. I'm really enjoying playing around with mine but was getting frustrated, even as a novice sampler user, by some of the odd limitations. This video has already helped me get more out of it than I was before so thank you!

I think the "nudge" feature is intended to move a note before or after the the next step in the sequence. Maybe you want a slight delay between your high-hat and snare. This feature allows movement in smaller increments. The demo just shows it being used for a pitch adjustment. It's pretty cool.

Useful video. You can also 'solo' multiple groups at once with the FX key which is good for live performance (saves using the fader all the time). Have you noticed that if you have 'Fader' button linked to 'level' it will randomly jump to FX etc. by it's self? There a few bugs but overall I love this device and it will only get better with updates.
@mochreach11 ай бұрын
@HiSiWi "it will randomly jump to FX etc", I've noticed this behaviour too and I wasn't sure why it was happening. I think it might have happened when I went onto FX and then changed the fader level, which seems to always change the fader to control the FX send, but I haven't tested this yet.

@mochreach Oh thanks! One would actually be: The melodic samples are recorded in different notes, not all in C, aren't they? And if they are in different pitches, then how do you deal with that to stay in the same scale? Do you first have to determine what pitch it is in and then repitch accordingly? That seems a bit tedious and like it could have been avoided by sampling everything in C
@mochreach11 ай бұрын
You can tweak the pitch, but the EP-133 does a good job of detecting the pitch if the sample, so you don't need to do that very often.
@mmorpgler11 ай бұрын
Oh, does that mean once I go into keys mode, a sample that has been recorded in a different pitch is repitched internally and still laid out over the keys grid such that the actual pitch of the note on my selected root note key matches the pitch of that root note? Sorry for the convoluted question

None of the shit you say matters cause your audio is so low you can’t be heard with the phone and stereo turned all the way up. Invest in a compressor plug in!

You have a way with words, @DavidMiller-do9gg. Thanks you for the suggestion, I'll check the compressor settings for the next video.

🤣 I'd love to say that I did it on purpose to weed out all the people who aren't dedicated enough, but I can't hear it I'm afraid! I've been listening to too much loud music probably. I'm still working on my recording setup, I'll take some of the top end off next time.
