Thank you.pastors Jon, Kyle and Kevin. This has been very edifying to me. I foumd myself falling into that social media trap thinking I was helping others but found it was causing more trouble than it was worth. It became a magnet for troublemakers. I found myself wasting more time defending scripture from Athiests to Kathryn Krick worshippers, that it was taking away from my daily devotional studys amd started to fall behind. I have since backed off. Your brother in Christ Jesus, -Robert

God bless you all in the blessed Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that the Body of Christ learn more and more how to love each other how Christ loves us. Loving each other not just by word but by works as well.

A much needed podcast! Thank you! But still yet I must add and in love, that even though this is my church and I love that the Lord has led us to Redeemer, I must say that I am not Calvinistic but "Christianistic" ;). We do not allow this to divide us but only pray that Redeemer's belief in "Calvinism" will wan and it will not be so at the forefront at times, as we see this belief as doing nothing to bring forth believers but actually deterring some from believing. It holds no value!

Agreed....l to have been wanned by the teaching of election. I remember hearing the sermon on that and being terribly sad. Knowing in particular one person in my family who refused to believe. I never gave up praying . Or whenever given the opportunity to speak to her about Jesus through the guidance of the Holy Spirit l did. This last visit back to America we once again had disagreements regarding Jesus. Right before l left America she sent me a message stating...l got a bible. I want to know Jesus. I want to be a good grandmother and mother and guide my Children to him. I sat on the floor of the store l was in and broke down and cried tears of joy and praised God. She is in touch with me and is loving the bible. Had l listened to that sermon l would have given up trying thinking well maybe she is not one of the elects. I am praying for others ...l just could not believe a loving father who sent his son to suffer so horrible would say ok...Jesus thank you but what you suffered is only for a few elected. Hogwash 😢 Calvanism is wrong

@@antoinette4568 Oh my goodness! That is wonderful news! Your story of your family member gave me chills. It is Hogwash! God did not create us human beings made in the image of Him, to drop all but the elect in Hell. And this is coming from someone such as myself who has read through the bible for many many years. I have also looked into the Calvinist belief. It just is not so!!! May God bless you sister and your family! So happy for you that your family member is now your sister in Christ!!

what kyle says is right on true - when we lift our eyes (a bit like Lot) to things we ought not be or think of ourselves better than others in knowledge, word, or doctrine, we ought to be ashamed of ourselves - reformed or not, pride has no place in sanctification, it is sin and full of sin - to practice it is sinfulness and rebellion, an insistence impertinent to others.

as Jon opened with - and rightly so - we are being attacked to defend so much so from without but also within - that is by design, the evil one at work in end times.

Batman had Robin to help as the Boy Wonder - love the way that Kyle astutely sums up, it's not only within the church and the culture - that Satan is crafty, alert, and not asleep at the wheel, he is masterminding all this chaos, division, and evil. I think we ought to start calling Pastor/Dr.Kyle - The Boy Wonder
@servingjesussinnersavedbyg845610 ай бұрын
Lol, Kyle's comment to alarmist - it is true, look to the left, look to the right anywhere you look there is a demand to take a side on ... and that added list for Christians on top of the worldly list of divisions, well it's like reading the book of Numbers or endless genealogies. It alone can keep one distracted long enough. I like what Larry Norman said in 1969, Why don't you look unto Jesus ... the Author, the Finisher, the Focus of our Prize and desired walk.

Not really sure what was this podcast about. A very broad brush was used on all subjects. I keep hearing unity but not in the content of Truth, just for the sake to be united, I think we should be united with all other denominations if truth don't matter. You keep harping on " A house dived will not stand " ok that maybe true but Jesus also said that he did not come to bring peace but division. Are you saying the Bible contradicts it's self?
@MichaelKelleyAZ10 ай бұрын
He did not come to bring division in his church my brother.
@greengateacreshomestead432410 ай бұрын
@@MichaelKelleyAZ I am not sure if you understand what I wrote. However here is the verse where Jesus said "Luke 12:51 (NASB) Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division". To keep it simple a Unity without Truth - that Unity is a false unity.

You all lead the way in fomenting conflict especially among local churches in the Valley. Haven't listened to this all, but hope there is some repentance of your role in this.

Michael, you've never stepped one foot in the door at Redeemer Bible Church, and you've admitted you did not even spend the 30 minutes to give this a full listen. If you had listened for 6 minutes you would have heard Kyle Swanson say 'We ought to be ashamed of ourselves.' Yes, Redeemer is full of folks who departed from your tribe. And I'm sure there were angry words exchanged. But that came from both sides. I would not be welcome at your church anymore. The people who left when we did would not either. If you value unity and removing conflict from the body of Christ then show us by leading in that way.

@@nathancjarrett You absolutely would be welcome back and you know that. We are also of the same tribe, the Church. My parents go to Redeemer, I listen to sermons frequently, I know the pastors there. So please. I also as a matter of fact spent years at this very church back in the day. I grew up going there. You attend a church that compared our church to being the same league as Muslims and Catholics. Your old church has certainly never done that to your new one. Not much more to say.

And if you are serious about unity, have Luke and Seth on to discuss the differences and stress our unity in the Gospel, it would go a long way.
