Thanks! This was interesting! As someone who lives in Hawaii, this was helpful for options to plan trips off island. I've saved many thousand dollars using my Southwest companion pass and Chase points transferred to United. If you're Hawaii or west coast based, the Alaska Airlines credit card with its one time companion pass is actually super useful. We're flying Fiji airlines to New Zealand for 220k Alaska miles + $500 for four people. Btw Oahu really is awesome. It has a ton more than just Waikiki and Pearl Harbor.

Thank you so much for your great content and this podcast! I have already booked Hawaii for this year but it was a nice listen to see what I did well and what I could have done better. I am starting to gather info to book Europe in 2025 .I have a family of 5 as well and would love it if you could do a similar podcast for Europe (England and France) where the hotel redemptions get a lot more difficult with 5 people. I would have loved for there to have been some mention of the absolutely devastating wildfire that occurred in West Maui in August of 2023 and the continued impact that the community has been experiencing. Maybe vacation travel to that destination is not super appropriate at this time while they continue to rebuild and heal from a truly horrendous natural disaster.
