My own family used deliver milk and coal by horse and cart, around the Liberties. Dad had the job of looking after “Barry”, the horse. My cousin still delivers milk around Tallaght - the fourth generation, at least, to do that.

I remember the farrier very well, when i was about 7 or 8 years old and attending Temple Street Hospital (for lord knows what) I would watch him with great interest, waiting for My mother to come out and say my name had been called. About 1960/61. My how my home City has changed.
