Kev people can say what they want. But most the people around here sold they shit to buy a new truck and take a vacation. They were broke again the next year. At least you used it wisely. I'm in one of them houses now. The amount of stuff I've had to replace is exactly every thing you said in this video lol foundation, plumbing, holes, the moldy shower. Literally everything you mentioned

Kev, you should do an episode on all the HOODS and the different house architectures... From Compton to the Westside. That has always played a part in territory and gang culture. When your in Watts the blocks are tight and close knit, Compton full family homes, the Jungles is like maze. And then show the current pricing of those places labeled the hood.

I grow up in Inglewood off Chrenshaw and Imperial. My parents paid 35k in 75 it’s now worth over 900k. They sold it back in 06 for 597k. Paid cash for new bigger house in the I.E. in a gated community. They never regretted leaving Inglewood. People need to realize even after paying off a house you still need to put away money every month for taxes and upkeep. I don’t blame you for selling it Kev.

People don't understand Kev Mac had to make a clean break and also the act of refurbishing that house might have been more trouble than its worth. So although it might have been painful that the family home went up for sale, it was probably a necessary step for Kev Mac to move forward with his life and become who he is today. Maybe if Kev had stayed, he would have been one of those tragic stories we all have of friends from the '80s-'90s.

A lot of poeple don't understand how having a house works, you and your family were basically what they call "under water" in the house. The new owner made 200k but how much money did he have to put into it? my grandparents house is worth 800k right now my pops got it...when the time comes and me and my sister and brother have to make a decision because the house needs over 100k worth of work to do and someone also has to live in it....we're all doing fine financially but if it has to be sold then so be it.
