Ep 15 | The End | Musa’s Last Wish and Allah’s Command to Slaughter a Cow | Majed Mahmoud

This is the final episode, in shaa Allah. In it, Allah commanded Bani Israel to slaughter a cow. However, they complicated the matter so much that they made things so difficult on them. It is not a sign of piety to make religion difficult on oneself. Later in the video, we discuss the death of Prophet Musa and Prophet Harun, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon them. Prophet Musa was accused of a crime by Bani Israel in which he was innocent of. They accused him of killing his own brother. But Allah showed Prophet Musa’s innocence. When it was Prophet Musa’s turn to return back to Allah, he made a last wish. It was such an eye opening dua and wish he made. After their passing, thousands of years later, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ meets both prophets in the sky. So much to learn from them, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon them. Allah says:
2 : 67
And ˹remember˺ when Moses said to his people, “Allah commands you to sacrifice a cow.” They replied, “Are you mocking us?” Moses responded, “I seek refuge in Allah from acting foolishly!”
2 : 68
They said, “Call upon your Lord to clarify for us what type ˹of cow˺ it should be!” He replied, “Allah says, ‘The cow should neither be old nor young but in between. So do as you are commanded!’”
2 : 69
They said, “Call upon your Lord to specify for us its colour.” He replied, “Allah says, ‘It should be a bright yellow cow-pleasant to see.’”
2 : 70
Again they said, “Call upon your Lord so that He may make clear to us which cow, for all cows look the same to us. Then, Allah willing, we will be guided ˹to the right one˺.”
2 : 71
He replied, “Allah says, ‘It should have been used neither to till the soil nor water the fields; wholesome and without blemish.’” They said, “Now you have come with the truth.” Yet they still slaughtered it hesitantly!
2 : 72
˹This is˺ when a man was killed and you disputed who the killer was, but Allah revealed what you concealed.
2 : 73
So We instructed, “Strike the dead body with a piece of the cow.” This is how ˹easily˺ Allah brings the dead to life, showing you His signs so that you may understand.

JazakAllah Khair For the Beautiful narration. But you did Not mention 2 things from Quran about Musa a.s. 1) Hamaan. The Minister of Pharoah. 2) Bani Israel changing the word ‘ Hitta’ to ‘Hinta’.

Brother I had 2 questions.. 1)The passover mentioned in the taurah, does that have any relevance according to islamic perspective? 2)Yasir Qadhi mentioned in one of his lectures that there were 2 pharoas father and the son in Musa(AS) story..is that true?as there was no mention of any of this in your series..just out of curiosity and confirmation..
