Ah so happy to hear stories about Victor French.. I always adored his character and with the anniversary here it’s bittersweet that he is no longer here with us.. and I was talking about him with my mom and my autistic son has this thing of watching Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and the character of Yukon Cornelius reminds me of Mr Edwards..😅. I will be attending the Connecticut event and can’t wait to meet you all in person! Allison I want the secret to your energy! This podcast has been wonderful thus far and hearing about the behind the scenes, your memories, all of it.. this show has endured for valid reasons.. I am an ambassador on Melissa’s app and we were talking about how the show touched on topics that are still ringing true to this day. We just launched a penpal program and the episode with Albert finding out his penpal is in a wheelchair and he also made Himself into something that wasn’t true either.. and here we are 50 years later and this is a hot subject that people Still fall for.. but LHOP is real, it’s about surviving without all the fluff. When you take away material things, politics, keeping Up with the joneses mentality and you have what this show brought to the table. Family, God and good old Fashioned values . Thank you for creating this podcast and I can’t wait to see future episodes !!

I'm loving this podcast! I'm definitely here for whatever you all want to do, but I would love to see more cast interviews, especially. It would also be cool to see interviews with any surviving crew members, on-set teachers, etc. I would love to hear their stories, too. I also love the idea of you all discussing specific episodes. Maybe the 3 of you (and a guest if you have one) could pick 1 or 2 favorites from each season to discuss; definitely go in seasonal order, as you were saying. Thank you for doing this; it's a really fun, inclusive way to celebrate the 50th!

What are the questions I would ask is what do the characters feel about all the inconsistencies in times and props and things that were going on. For instance, they ate a lot of peanut butter, but it wasn’t really invented till decades later. And then the belt loops. There were no belt loops until the 1900s but yet most people in little house were belt loops. It goes on and on and on. Books that were read in the school house that weren’t even printed yet in the 1870s. Also the pompous grass they grew by the mill. It doesn’t even grow in Minnesota. There are so many more. I’m wondering what they think about all these inconsistencies now.

Hey guys. By Character, most definitely. The main reason is I NEVER hear anything about my "own" crush in the series; Kevin Hagen. It's seems he's always ignored and never mentioned. Sad, given the fact he is one of the few character, that has stayed on through out the run of the show.

When I was 18 or19 years old in i980 or 1981. We went to a movie theater with a group of friends. and there was one girl in our group, said I look like Almonso. She wouldn't sit beside me in the theater. I guess she was a bit shy. She like me because I looked like Almonso from Little House on the Prairie. Back then I think I did, but not today. This is a true story.

She actually hurt her back during her run in the show. Would love the hear about how the musical came about and see interviews with the producers, song composers/lyricists and a cast member or two.

Dean, did Katherine accidentally mispronounce Almanzo once and they had her keep saying Zaldomo or was that written into the script? I loved that. Also Alison or Dean did either of you watch any of the episodes in the 70s at home like all us fans? Or was it years later before you watched them? Thank you both and thank you Pamela.

I love when the Little House cast talks about what "we" did - without mentioning the person who actually "did" it. Remember - the cast just read the words. They were not responsible for the material, the edginess, the family values or lessons that were learned. And yet in so many of these podcasts I hear about what "we" did. I think THEY need to brush up on their use of pronouns.

Please have Allison wear a microphone or earbuds so she won’t cut out. She does at each interview I’ve heard her do and this would rectify the issue. Thank You!

Another odd thing is why in season nine the very first episode Almanzo hasn’t seen his brother in 10 years but yet he and Laura babysat the two boys. He introduces his brother to Laura, but they already met because they watched the boys. Also, they did not have a girl. I don’t understand the writers and the inconsistencies. Whether people noticed it or not I don’t understand how they thought we were stupid out here.
